where is the anode rod located?
The anode is located behind, and slightly to the right of the hot water connection. There is a plastic cap in the opening. Remove the foam insulation, and you will see what looks like a large bolt in the top of the tank.
To remove and replace the anode you will need a 1-1/16 inch socket and a breaker bar.
