I bought a helmet with the Lexin G16. I didn't get charging cord or any other accessories. How do I remove the unit without the key?
Yes, you can remove the G16 main unit from its helmet bracket without the key.
To remove the main unit from the bracket, use the Dismounting Stick to insert it between G16 unit and the mounting bracket, then push the G16 main unit up from the bracket.
I didn't get any Dismounting Stick. I bought the helmet used from a fellow racer. He didn't find it either.
You can use a number of other tools instead the Dismounting Stick, e.g. the thin plastic pry included, a guitar pick, or a thin flat-head screwdriver wrapped in cloth to avoid scratching.
Look along the seam between the G16 and the mounting bracket, you’ll see a small slot where the tool is meant to go, push the tool gently into the gap to depress the release. While holding the latch, push the G16 upward from the bottom until it clears the bracket, then slide it off.
