The door open signal blinks continuously. And the alarm starts each time the fridge or the freezer door is opened. It does not matter how long does it take to store or remove an item(may be even a few seconds). The beeping is indefinite and it only stops if the alarm is silenced. And the temperature inside the fridge and in the freezer is below the set up level( fridge set for 3.0 C , runs between 3.4-4.2 and the freezer set for -18.0C, shows -16.4to -17.6)
