    Is the middle part on the inside of my wasijg machine suppose to be screwed down?

    I have an awful smell in my washing machine. It smells like mould. I have tried using washing machine cleaners, tub cleaners etc and can't get rid of it. It even makes the washing smell smell stale.

    I clean the filters regularly & wipe drum of washing machine after using but I get black flaky bits on my clothes.
    What do I need to clean to stop this?
