    What do I press or turn to set a heating time?

    Asking this question from the perspective of senior person with dementia. If I only ever heat soup on the 2 minute setting, can I just leave the setting on 2 (forever) and be able to open the door, place my soup in the microwave, close the door. At this point will it cook on the 2 minute setting every time I close the door? Ie. I will never use any other setting so I always want to leave it on 2. Or, do I have to REDIAL the selection from 2 and then back to 2 to have it start the oven? Pls advise..thx in advance!
