    E8 error can occur when units are operating in high humidity/ high temperature environments. Please check ambient temperature and ensure that temperature is below 90°F. Also, be sure to check and verify that filters, exhaust ports and air inlets are clean and free from obstruction. 
    If this issue persists, a trained service technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue.

    Fault codes are programmed in air conditioner controls to help service technicians quickly diagnose issues with the unit. In the event that the electronic control displays an E8 or other fault code, a trained service technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue. We do not have a list of all the possible fault codes and their meanings since they all indicate a service issue.
