The programme will stop several times
for a few minutes to let the descaler take
effect. The descaling process lasts for
approximately 30 minutes. While the
programme is running, button a flashes
orange.
When the descaling process is
complete, button a is no longer lit up.
Operate the appliance twice using clean
water, without coffee. Do not fill with
more than 6 cups of water.
Carefully rinse all loose components
and the jug.
Rectifying minor faults

Button a flashes red, and brewing does not
start.
– The appliance is still too warm.
The appliance will start brewing
automatically once it has cooled down.
The machine takes noticeably longer
or switches itself off before the brewing
process is complete.
– Heavy build-up of limescale in the
appliance.
Descale the appliance according to the
instructions.
Tip: With very hard water descale the
appliance more frequently than indicated
(button
a lights up orange) and set the
water hardness to “hard”.
The drip stop is leaking.
– Soiling of drip stop.
Clean the drip stop (in the filter holder)
under running water while operating it
several times with your finger.
