Starting & Stopping the Engine
Confirm the following:
• TRX420TM1: The transmission is in neutral, and the neutral
indicator (2) is ON.
TRX420FM1/FM2: The transmission is in neutral, the neutral
indicator (2) is ON and the gear position indicator shows “N”
• The engine stop switch (3) is set to RUN (e).
This ATV is fuel-injected with an automatic choke.
Follow the procedure indicated below.
Any Air Temperature
• Press the start button with the throttle completely closed.
The engine will not start if the throttle is fully open (because the
electronic control module cuts off the fuel supply).
Snapping the throttle or fast idling for more than 5 minutes may
cause exhaust pipe and muffler discolorations.
