I use it for raw and frozen fruits and veggies almost exclusively. It rocks. The run time on non-frozen is much faster than frozen, even with ice. That might be because I like my smoothies "less thick" than some other people. Since I got this blender, I have not been disappointed. It is easy to use, clean and has tons of power. If you are looking for a blender (and not a juicer) you cannot go wrong with this one. I also use nut butters, which in some blenders just simply never works, but with this one works great.

It crushes ice like butter, really great; however you must be careful at the very beginning if you are using big ice cubes. Sometimes they get wedged and you can hear the motor straining instead of spinning. I just take it out and shake it or take the lid off and push it around if its really jammed. This is why I always start on high because it does not jam as much. This being said I have had mine for 2 years now and I make smoothies and slushies every day, no kidding. Cuts ice like butter. Yes this comes with 2 blades, 1 the flat on that is off to the left in the main grouping photo, and 2, other blade is actually already in the cup which is attached to the base / motor off to the right in the same photograph .
