#1 How does the filter come out how do you take out the filter?

Below the vents is a gray band with the LG logo. Place fingers
on each end of the band and pull forward. You will clearly see
how the filter is to be removed for cleaning.

#2 is there styrofoam inside?

Not that I have noticed. I haven't examined the inner workings
of the AC but there has been no evidence of styrofoam
presence.

#3 Is there a drain plug?

Yes, and I would make sure to remove it before operation.

#4 How many inches does the air conditioner extend back of the
inside window sill?

Don’t know I moved to a condo that would not allow window air
units.

#5 Does this air conditioner have styrofoam?

I don't thinks so, unless it is really buried in the cabinet.

#6 Is it noisy ?

No more noisy than a fan on low. I have it in my bedroom and
my fan makes more noise. I'm very happy with it as for the
bedroom.

#7 Does this shut off when temperature is reached?

The compressor will shut off in regular mode. In energy saver
mode the whole unit will go off and comes back on when
needed. Also there is a timer to have the unit shut off at a set
time

#8 Is there styrofoam inside?

I can see styrofoam inside the unit when I look through the
exterior vents on the top of the unit.
