Styles
The Styles add excitement to your performance—giving you authentic, automatic
backing in a wide variety of music genres. Just play the root notes of chords with
your left hand, and enjoy the accompaniment of a full band behind you!
To properly play a Style and hear the backing parts, you’ll need to play a key in the accompaniment section of
the keyboard while the rhythm is playing.
To play the backing yourself, you need know chords—but the Smart Chord function does that work for you! Sim-
ply play the root note of the chord, and the appropriate chord plays according to the key. For best results, set the
Smart Chord Key (page 10).
If you are familiar with chord fingerings and want to play full chords instead of just the root notes, set the Finger-
ing Type on page 10 to “Multi.”
In Style playback, use the buttons below as desired.
