User manual Scale

Open the battery cover located beneath the scale and place the included AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Ensure that the batteries +/- terminals are correctly oriented.
To turn on the scale, place on a hard even surface and press the On/Off/Tare button located to the right of the LCD screen.
To turn off the scale, first ensure there is nothing on the weighing platform (the LCD should display zero). Then press and hold the On/Off/Tare button.
Note: to extend battery life the scale will automatically turn off after 2 minutes of inactivity.
Turn the scale on and gently place an item on the center of the weighing platform. The weight will immediately display on the screen. If the object is uneven the scale may fine tune the computed weight during the first 2 or 3 seconds of measurement. Be sure to always gently place objects on the center of the scale’s weighing platform. Do not leave an object on the scale’s weighing platform for an extended period of time.
When the scale is powered on, simply press the unit button to change between ounces (oz), pounds (lbs), grams (g), and milliliters (ml).
You can also change the unit of measurement while an object is on the scale. The scale will remember the unit of measurement you last selected each time it is turned on.
Note: The milliliter measurement is an approximation of fluid measure and assumes that you are measuring a liquid such as water or oil, and not a powder or thick emulsion.
Use the tare feature to automatically subtract the weight of a bowl or plate, and determine the net weight of the ingredients being weighed. To use the Tare feature: '
“LO” - When the LCD displays “LO” and automatically powers off the batteries need to be changed.
Only use new AAA batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
“Err” - When the weight detected exceeds 11 lbs or 5 kg, the LCD will display “Err”. Remove the object from the scale’s weighing platform to avoid damage to the scale’s sensors.
“Unst” - If the scale displays “Unst” on its LCD, the object being weighed may have shifted. Remove the object from the weighing platform and allow a few seconds for the scale to reset. Then ensure the object being weighed is stationary before gently replacing it on the scale.
“out2” - If the scale displays “out2” on the LCD, the scale was not able to successfully reset itself. Remove all objects from the scale, and turn it off and back on. If the problem persists, briefly remove the batteries from the scale to force a hard reset.
