1. Ensure two AAA 1.5V batteries are installed
in the battery compartment with the correct
polarity as indicated by the “+” and “-“ symbols
inside the compartment in the underneath of the
unit. Check that the battery cover is in place.
Place scales on a flat level surface.
Note: Rechargeable batteries are not suitable for
the Electronic Kitchen Scales.
2. If using the bowl or any other container, place
container on platform before turning on the
scales.
3. Turn on the Electronic Kitchen Scales by pressing
the
button. The LCD will display ‘Hi’ as a
greeting, then ‘0’ g (or ml, fl oz, lb oz). The scales
are now ready for use.
4. The electronic kitchen scales weigh in grams
or ounces. Fluid ounces and millilitres can be
used when measuring water only. To select your
preference, simply press the Unit button.
5. Place ingredients either in the container or
directly onto the weighing platform. The weight
will be displayed on the LCD display. As more
ingredients are added the weight displayed on
the LCD will automatically increase.
Tare function
Your electronic kitchen scales allow you to add
consecutive items to the container, whilst weighing
each item individually.
1. Follow steps 1 - 5 in using your electronic
kitchen scales.
2. Press the
button and wait until the LCD
displays 0. Then add your next ingredient to the
bowl. The LCD will display the weight only of the
last item added.
3. Repeat step 2 for weighing any additional
ingredients.
Overloading function
When the electronic kitchen scales are overloaded,
the LCD will display: ‘O-Ld’
Remove the weight immediately, as the excess
weight may damage the scales.
Low battery indicator
When the battery is running low, the LCD will
display: ‘LO’.
Replace the two AAA 1.5V batteries.
Replacing your batteries
1. To replace your batteries, remove the battery
cover on the underside of the scales.
2. Insert two new AAA 1.5V batteries into the
battery compartment following polarity marked
on the product and press firmly into place.
3. Replace the battery cover.
Note: Remove the batteries whenever the scales
will be stored for a prolonged period of time.
Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the
scales. Different types of batteries or new and used
batteries are not to be mixed. Only batteries of the
same or equivalent type as recommended are to be
used. Batteries are to be inserted with the correct
polarity.

Using your Food Scales
Turn the electronic kitchen scales off when not
in use and remove the batteries if storing for
prolonged periods.
Note: Never store with anything on top of your food
scales, as the excess weight may damage them.
Wipe the weighing platform with a soft, slightly
damp cloth and wipe dry. For stubborn dirt, wipe
with a damp cloth and mild detergent and wipe
dry.
Do not place the food scales in the dishwasher.
Note: Never immerse the food scales in water.
