#1 Does this TV have built-in Wi-Fi? The TCL website does not say anything about WiFi.

Yes, this model has built-in, dual band Wi-Fi and connects wirelessly to your home network. There is no Ethernet connection.

#2 Does it require internet? can it be use without internet? don't care about smart part.

Yes, this TV can be used without internet and simply connected to your cable/satellite box or antenna. You can always set up the smart part later if you choose.

#3 do i need cable for it for it to work?

TCL Roku TV connects to your home network wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Once connected TCL Roku TV offers over 200 streaming channels including popular choices like Netflix, Pandora, and Amazon Instant Video. Cable service is not necessary to stream these channels.

#4 I like this tv, but i'd also like to get a soundbar to go with it. if i did, would the soundbar volume control work with the tcl / roku remote?

The optical digital audio output of the TV is line level or fixed and not controlled by the TV remote control. If you connect a sound bar using this output you would need to adjust volume using the sound bar remote (or on the sound bar itself). The headphone jack audio output of the TV is variable, meaning it will adjust using the TV remote control volume. If you use this connection for the sound bar then you will be able to control the sound bar volume using the TV remote. However, note that the TV speakers are always muted when something is plugged into the headphone jack so if you wanted to switch between using the TV speakers and the sound bar then you would need to plug/unplug the headphone jack connection each time

#5 can i hook it up to a vcr and play my vhs movies on it?

Yes, you can connect using the red, white and yellow cables on the back of the TV.

#6 do i need both the wall mounts that are suggested to mount this tv to a wall?

No, you do not need both wall mounts that are suggested. You can purchase any wall mount with a standard VESA 200*200 hole pattern.
