DE-SCALING

De-scaleregularly,preferablyatleastonceamonthormorefrequentlyifyourwaterisveryhard.

To de-scale your kettle:

• Usingwhitevinegar:

– Fillthekettlewith½lofvinegar,

– Leavetostandfor1hourwithoutheating.

• Usingcitricacid:

– Boil½lofwater,

– Add25gofcitricacidandleavetostandfor15min.

• Usingade-scalerspecificallyforplastickettles:followthemanufacturer’sinstructions.

• Emptyyourkettleandrinse5or6times.Repeatifnecessary.

To de-scale your filter (according to model):

Soakthefilterinwhitevinegarordilutedcitricacid.

Neveruseade-scalingmethodotherthanthatrecommended.

IN THE EVENT OF PROBLEMS

THERE IS NO EVIDENT DAMAGE TO YOUR KETTLE

• Thekettledoesnotworkorstopsbeforecomingtotheboil

– Checkthatyourkettleisproperlyconnected.

– Thekettlehasbeenswitchedonwithoutwateroranaccumulationofscalehascausedthe

overheatcut-outtooperate:allowthekettletocoolandfillitwithwater.Descalefirstifscale

hasaccumulated.

Switchiton:thekettleshouldstartworkingagainafterabout15minutes.

• Thewatertastesofplastic:

Generally,thishappenswhenthekettleisnew,discardthewaterfromthefirstfewboilings.Ifthe

problempersists,fillthekettletomaximumandaddtwoteaspoonsofbicarbonateofsoda.Bring

totheboilanddiscardthewater.Rinseoutthekettle.

IFYOURKETTLEHASBEENDROPPED,IFITLEAKSORIFTHEREISVISIBLEDAMAGETOTHE

POWERCORD,THEPLUGORTHEBASEOFTHEKETTLE
