LG Electronics LSG4511ST Questions and Answers

#1 Is this a down draft? I am having issue finding one that states it is down draft.

The LG 6.3 cu. ft. Gas Single Oven Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSG4511ST is not a downdraft range. LG does not manufacture downdraft range ovens.

#2 My stove did not come with any grates…none! I received it this past Saturday and spent an hour trying to find out why. Why would LG sell a stove with no grates?

Which retailer did you purchase the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Gas Single Oven Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSG4511ST from and when was the delivery made? Some retailers will either replace the range oven for you if you contact them within a specified time frame from when the delivery was made if you are missing items that should have been included with the range oven. That should be printed on your receipt from the retailer that you purchased the item from. If your delivery included installation, the delivery team should have noted that the grates were missing. LG does not sell range ovens without the grates. In the Product Overview on page 12 of your owner's manual for the range oven that shows the parts and accessories for the range oven, it also advises "Contact LG Customer Service at 1-800-243-0000 (1-888-542-2623 in Canada) if any accessories are missing.

#3 Can I put foil or something else in the bottom of the oven to prevent spills since the easy clean doesn’t work

The "IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS" on page 6 of your owner's manual for the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Gas Single Oven Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean®, Model # LSG4511ST have a warning to "Never cover any slots, holes or passages in the oven bottom or cover an entire rack with materials such as aluminum foil. Doing so blocks airflow through the oven and may cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Aluminum foil linings may also trap heat, causing a fire hazard."

#4 How do you compare easy clean with self-cleaning? Have any owners of the 4511 model had any great difficulty using Easy clean... Since there is no self-clean option

The EasyClean® feature on the LG 6.3 cu. ft. Gas Single Oven Slide-in Range with ProBake Convection® and EasyClean® takes advantage of LG’s new enamel to help lift soils without harsh chemicals, and it runs using ONLY WATER for just 10 minutes in low temperatures to help loosen LIGHT soils before hand-cleaning. While EasyClean® is quick and effective for small and LIGHT soils, the Self Clean feature can be used to remove HEAVY, built-up soils. The intensity and high heat of the Self Clean cycle may result in smoke which will require the opening up of windows to provide ventilation. The EasyClean® feature may not be effective in removing heavy, built-up soils. Because the range does not include a self-clean option, clean the oven regularly using the EasyClean® feature to prevent heavy, burnt-on soil from building up in the oven
