Transmission Oil
Refer to the specifications section beginning on page 108 for
transmission oil capacity.
Oil Change
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Place a drain pan beneath the
transmission oil drain plug
area.
3. Loosen the jam nut (A).
4. Turn the adjuster bolt (B) in to
allow the removal of the drain
plug (C).
5. Remove the drain plug and
wipe the m agnetic end clean to
remove accumulated metallic
filings.
6. After t he oil has drained
completely, install a new
sealing washer and reinstall the drain plug. Torque to 14 ft. lbs.
(19 Nm).
7. Turn the adjuster bolt (B) out until it touches the frame, and then
turn an additional 1/2 turn.
8. Tighten the j am nut securely while holding the adjuster bolt.
9. Remove the dipstick. Add the recommended lubricant until the oil
level is between the upper and lower limits. Do not overfill.
10. Reinstall the dipstick.
11. Check for leaks.
