Philips MG7770-15 Questions and Answers

#1 Why this autralia model Series 5000 needs 16-hrs charge to
only get 80 mins runtime while US correspond model gets 3
hours of runtime per 1-hr charge?

The runtime of ours is much longer than 80mins and the
charge is less than 16hrs except the initial charge which is
understandable

#2 Does this come with the pouch?

Yes, a sealable good quality pouch to keep your trimmer and
other combs in. Very handy to take it anywhere. I mean it was
there when I bought it last year.

#3 Dose the trimmer come with a case like in the pictures ?

Yes, it does. Please be aware that this model is a
promotional unit for fathers day by Philips. If you have any
issues with it in future,
Philips will provide you with a free replacement unit if the
product is under warranty but as this is a promotional
product, spare replacement unit is very difficult to come by
even for the company. So, it may take weeks maybe
months to receive a replacement.

#4 Does it indicate that its charging or charged?

No that was something that I noticed straight away when I
unpacked it I asked the question how can you tell if it needs
charging,. You can’t. It works well and I guess you just put it
on to charge when you want to use it or after you finish. It is
quite small as in narrow in your hand but seems to work
well enough.

#5 Is it use as trimmer as well use to cut female hair?

If you were trimming sharp ends on their hair, yes. But not to
cut length off.

#6 Does it run when direct power is supplied or will it run only on
the battery backup?

Only on battery backup.
When you plug direct power into it and turn it on, it cuts out
the direct power and uses battery instead (just checked -
the charging indicator light turns off on the wall charger
adaptor).

#7 How noisy is this trimmer?

I wouldn’t say they are noisy but they are not quiet either,
seems an appropriate level though
