I have always bought refurbished remotes (I'm on my third or fourth now). They have lasted every bit as long as a new one would have, I just wanted to upgrade. I've never had to use their warranty service, but I always took that to mean they'll fix or replace your refurb within the 90 day period, and after that it would be at their discretion whether they would provide you with full or partial service, depending on the nature of the problem.

I never was able to get my refurbished remote to work. The website wouldn’t load on my computer and using the USB cable never worked to enable me to program any of my equipment. I never was able to get the remote to behave like a remote in any way, shape or form. I ultimately returned it and got a refund. It worked for others apparently but not for me. Based on my experience save your money and try a different remote.

This is the Ultimate One, not Home. it does NOT include the Hub. just the charging station and USB cable & power adapter. you were misinformed.
