Neff T58FT20X0/01 Questions and Answers

#1 How do I clean hard water spots?

Minerals in some water can be transferred onto the hob's
surface and cause stains. Apply undiluted white vinegar with a
soft, clean cloth. Then polish with Ceramic hob cleaner.

#2 How to remove grease from stainless steel surfaces?

Remove any deposits with our tested and approved
Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder. This will remove dirt and
spillages without damaging the surface. Make sure the
powder is used on a damp cloth as a ‘paste’ and wipe along
the grain of the metal. This product can be ordered from us.

#3 How should I protect stainless steel surfaces from marking?

You can treat the surface with a tested and approved oil
impregnated Conditioning Cloth (can be ordered from us)
will assist fingerprint and mark resistance. Some people
use baby oil or similar products on stainless steel.
However, these products do not work as they attract dust
and fluff, causing a residue to form. The same Conditioning
Oil as in the cloths can be ordered in a bottle from us. It is
food-safe and can be used on surfaces which are in
contact with food.

#4 Which food deposits may be removed with a scraper while the
ceramic or induction hob is hot?

Dry sugar, sugar syrup, milk, tomato spills, melted plastic
film, foil. First, remove any cooking pans and utensils and
turn off the hob. Wearing an oven mitt, hold scraper at a 30°
angle, being careful to not gouge or scratch the glass. Use
smooth, shallow movements - do not chip or stab the
surface. Push the loosened deposits off the heated area
with the scraper. After the hob surface has cooled, remove
the loosened deposits and apply Ceramic hob cleaner.

#5 How do I clean the stainless steel surfaces of my hob?

Wipe with the grain when cleaning stainless steel. Use a
mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or stainless steel cleaner
with a soft cloth. Wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do not use
cleaning materials that contain chlorine since it is corrosive
to stainless steel.
Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have
negative effects on materials other than stainless steel.
Make sure to apply stainless steel cleaner to stainless steel
components only! Tested and approved Stainless steel
conditioning cloths and cleaner can be ordered from us.
The cloths are food-safe and can be used on surfaces
which are in contact with food.

#6 How do I clean stubborn grease from my gas hob?

Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the hob.
Remove pan supports once they have cooled down. Pan
supports are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a
mild cleaning agent with a clean, soft cloth, rinse and then dry.
