Starting & Stopping the Engine
Always follow the proper starting procedure
described below.
Your motorcycle can be started with the
transmission in gear by pulling in the clutch
lever before operating the starter.
Before starting, insert the key and turn the
ignition switch to (ON), and confirm the
following:
• The transmission is in neutral.
• The PGM-FI malfunction indicator lamp
(MIL) is off.
This motorcycle has a fuel-injected engine.
Follow the procedure indicated below.
Any Air Temperature
1.With the throttle completely closed, press the
start button.
2.If you cannot start the engine, open the
throttle slightly (about 0.1 in (3 mm), without
freeplay).
