콤팩트형 서모블록시스템을 일체형 퍼콜레이터(15 bar pump)에 탑재하여 커피원두를 신선하게 갈아 바로 커피를 만들
수 있어 풍부한 맛과 향, 크림처럼 부드러운 황금빛 거품이 맴도는 뜨거운 리스트레토와 에스프레소 커피를 즐기실 수
있습니다.
에스프레소는 일반적으로 작은 도자기잔에 마셔야 맛과 향을 최대로 음미하실 수 있습니다. 풍부한 거품과 함께

에스프레소는 일반적으로 필터커피보다 향이 더 진하고 풍부합니다. 맛과 향이 더 강하고 오랫동안 여운을 즐길 수 있으며,
추출 시간이 짧아 카페인 함량이 필터커피보다 낮습니다(1잔당 약 60-80mg인 반면 필터커피는 1잔당 약 80-100mg).
사용하는 물의 수질도 추출 커피의 전체적인 품질을 좌우합니다. 새로 받은 신선한 물을 사용하세요(물을 받아 두면 공기와
접촉해서 수질이 떨어짐), 염소 냄새가 나지 않는 찬물이 좋습니다.
인체공학적 소형LCD 화면을 통해 기기를 더 편리하게 사용할 수 있습니다. 화면의 안내를 따라 쉽게 커피를 만들고 서비스

본 제품은 2세 미만 유아 음료를 만드는 데 적합하지 않습니다.
물 때 제거 시 클라리스(Claris) 물여과용 F088 캐트리지를 먼저 빼주십시오. 위생적인 사용을 위하여 전체 세척
과정을 꼼꼼하게 수행하십시오. 제품에 포함된 물질이나 부품을 삼켰을 경우 즉시 병원에 병원에 연락하십시오. 에
연락하십시오.
지분이 많고 당화되었거나 향이 첨가된 커피원두는 사용하지 마십시오. 이런 종류의 원두는 기기를 손상시킬 수
있습니다. 커피찌꺼기를 커피원두 깔대기에 절대 넣지 마십시오.

기기 준비하기
■ 물이 넘쳐 싱크대가 더러워지거나 화상을 입지 않도록 분리형 물 받이판를 끼우는 것을 잊지 마세요.

처음 사용 시
■ 플러그를 꽂고 전원 버튼을 눌러 전원을 키세요 (그림 4).
■ 기기가 예열됩니다. 예열이 끝나면, 표시와 시작 버튼
에 불이 들어 옵니다.
■ 0.6L 용기를 커피 및 스팀노즐 밑에 각각 놓으세요.
■ 시작/정지 버튼
을 누르세요(그림 5). 기기가 작동하면서 약 2분간 유압장치(커피 및 노즐)를 세척합니다.

스팀은 카푸치노 또는 라떼에 넣을 우유거품을 만들거나 액체를 데울 때 사용합니다. 스팀을 사용할 때는 에스
프레소를 만들 때보다 온도가 높아야 하므로 추가적으로 기기를 예열해야 합니다.
우유거품 만들기
■ 거품이 잘 나도록 바로 열은 신선한 우유, 매우 차가운 저온 살균 우유, 사용하세요. 저온 살균 우유가 아닐
경우 거품이 잘 나지 않습니다.
■ 스팀노즐이 제대로 끼워졌는지 확인하세요.
스팀을 이용한 음료 만들기
분쇄 준비하기
커피원두의 분쇄 정도를 조절하여 커피 농도를 선택할 수 있습니다.
일반적으로 커피를 곱게 갈면 맛과 향이 진해지고 거품도 많이 나오지만 이는 사용하는 커피 종류에 따라 다
를 수 있습니다.
분쇄 정도는 커피원두용기에 위치한 조절 노브
를 이용하여 3단계로 조절 할 수 있습니다.
각 단계별 확실한 맛의 차이를 실감하실 수 있습니다. 왼쪽으로 돌리면 더 곱게 갈립니다. 오른쪽으로 돌리면
더 굵게 갈립니다. (그림7)
클라리스(Claris) 물여과용 F 088 카트리지(개별 판매)
커피의 맛과 기기의 수명을 최적화할 수 있도록 클라리스 물여과용 캐트리지만 기기에 사용하십시오
(기타 기능-필터 설치하기 참조).
클라리스 물필터를 넣을 때는 커피를 만들기 앞서 “필터 캐트리지 설치” 프로그램을 활성화하여 클라리스 필터
를 물로 한 번 걸러줘야 합니다 (모델에 따라 다름).
에스프레소와 커피 만들기
주의:
에스프레소 물양은 약 30-70ml이어야 합니다.
일반 커피의 물양은 약 80-180ml이어야 합니다.
시작하기(1-2잔)
■ 전원 버튼 을 누르고, 기기가 준비를 마칠 때까지 잠시 기다립니다.
■ 커피 종류가 화면에 표시됩니다. 기능 표시

■ 커피 추출구 밑에 컵을 1-2개 올려놓습니다. 커피 추출구를 컵에 맞춰 위아래로 조절합니다(그림 8). +/-

■ 메뉴 버튼
을 눌러 물양을 설정합니다: 화면에서 가로 안에 표시된 물양을 +/- 버튼을 눌러 선택하세요.

단계1: 용기를 손으로 잡고 스팀노즐을 약 2cm 정도 우유 속에 넣어 거품이 생길 때까지 기다리세요.
단계2: 용기를 살짝 위로 올리세요(약 1 cm). 스팀 노즐를 완전히 담그지 마세요.
단계3: 거품이 나면 용기를 천천히 아래로 내리세요. (그림 14)
■ 우유거품이 충분히 생겼으면, 정지 버튼
을 눌러 종료하세요. 경고: 즉시 종료되지 않습니다.
■ 스팀노즐에 남은 우유자국을 제거하려면, 용기를 노즐 밑에 놓고 스팀 기능을 한 번 더 수행합니다(약 10초).
■ 스팀노즐은 분리 하여 세척 가능 합니다. 주방세제 세제를 브러시에 조금 묻혀 물로 씻어냅니다. 헹궈서
건조합니다(그림 15-16). 공기구멍에 우유잔여물이 남아 있지 않은지 확인한 후 잘 끼워줍니다. 필요할 경우
제품에 포함된 바늘로 구멍에서 잔여물을 빼줍니다(그림 17).
■ 스팀을 종료하려면, 정지 버튼
을 누르세요.
경고: 즉시 종료되지 않습니다. 화상의 위험이 있으니 스팀 노즐 사용 후 바로 만지지 마십시오.
스팀은 1회당 최대 2분 동안만 만들 수 있습니다.
자동 카푸치노 XS 6000 세트(개별 판매)
■ 이 자동 카푸치노 액세서리는 카푸치노와 라떼를 만들 때 사용할 수 있습니다(그림 18). 각 부분을 서로
연결하세요. 파이프를 통과하지 않도록 노브를 올바로 연결하세요.
■ 뚜껑을 뺀 후, 우유를 용기에 채우고(그림 19) 컵이나 잔을 자동 카푸치노노즐 밑에 놓으세요
(그림 20). 특수 노즐의 카푸치노 또는 라떼를 선택하세요(그림 21).
■ 스팀을 이용한 음료 만들기 안내에 따라 증기를 만듭니다.
■ 우유거품을 만들었으면, 컵을 커피추출구 밑에 놓고 커피만들기 과정을 시작합니다(그림 22).
우유자국이 자동 카푸치노 액세서리에 남지 않도록 깨끗하게 닦아주세요. 바로 액세서리용기에 물을 채운 후
스팀만들기 과정을 다시 실행하여 노즐 내부도 깨끗하게 세척하세요. 이 때 개별 판매하는 KRUPS (자사브랜
드) 세척액을 사용하면 좋습니다.
커피찌꺼기함, 커피보관함 분리형 물 받이판을 깨끗하게 청소합니다.
■ 표시에 불이 들어왔을 경우, 분리형 물 받이판
(분리형 물 받이판에 커피가루가 남았을 수 있음)과 원두
찌꺼기 보관통을 깨끗하게 세척합니다. 원두 찌꺼기 제거 받침대의 경우도 마찬가지입니다

■ 분리형 물 받이판에는 내용물 제거 시기를 알려주는 수위표시기가 있습니다(그림 26). 원두 찌꺼기 보관통은
꺼내서 완전히 비워줘야 커피가 넘치는 경우를 막을 수 있습니다.
■ 커피찌꺼기함을 제대로 장착하지 않으면 경고 메시지가 계속 표시됩니다. 경고 메시지가 표시되는 동안에는
에스프레소나 커피를 만들 수 없습니다.

■ 커피 종류 메뉴로 돌아가려면
버튼을 누르세요.
경고: 헹굼 세척이 종료되면, 뜨거운 물이 커피 추출구에서 나옵니다. 기기를 사용하지 않을 시에도 분리형 물
받이판이 잘 장착되어 있는지 확인하세요. 이 과정은 몇 초 정도 걸리며 자동으로 종료합니다.
세척 프로그램 – 총 소요시간: 약 13분
기기에서 세척 기능 실행을 요청하자마자 바로 세척할 필요는 없으나 되도록 빨리 기기를 세척해야 합니다. 지

Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of an Espresso Automatic EX815 Series. With your machine,
you can make a wide range of drinks: espressos, coffees or ristrettos, completely automatically. You can also
make milk-based drinks such as cappuccinos. It has been designed so that you can enjoy restaurant quality
coffee at home, whatever the time of the day and every day of the week. You will appreciate its ease-of-use
and the quality of your cup of coffee. You can set the amount, strength and temperature of your drinks.
Thanks to its Compact Thermoblock System with built-in percolation chamber, its 15 bar pump, and because
it uses coffee beans which have been freshly ground just before the making the coffee, your machine will give
you hot ristrettos, espressos and coffees as from the first cup with maximum aroma and a creamy golden-
brown froth.
To give the drink maximum flavour, an espresso is traditionally served in a small, flared porcelain cup. For
an optimum temperature espresso and a dense creamy froth, we recommend that you pre-heat your cup.
You will probably need to try several types of coffee before you find the one that suits you.
By experimenting with the blend and/or roast, you will eventually arrive at the ideal result.
Espresso coffee has a richer aroma than classic filter coffee. Despite its stronger taste which remains longer
on the palate, an espresso contains less caffeine than filter coffee (around 60 to 80 mg per cup compared
to 80 to 100 mg per cup) due to its shorter percolation period.
The quality of water used is another determining factor which affects the overall quality of the brewed coffee.
You should ideally use water which is fresh from the tap (so that it hasn’t had time to stagnate due to air
contact), which is cold and which does not smell of chlorine.
The ergonomic, compact LCD display makes the machine easy to use. It will guide you through each step,
from preparing your drink to servicing your machine.

Your appliance was checked and tested before leaving the manufacturing factory. Despite the care taken when
cleaning, it is possible that you may find coffee residue in the coffee grinder and/or drops of coffee on the drip
tray. Thank you for your understanding. We also recommend that you perform several rinse cycles before using the
appliance for the first time or when it has not been used for several days.
For your safety, this appliance complies with applicable standards and regulations (Low Voltage Directive,
Electromagnetic Compatibility, Materials in contact with food, Environment, etc.).
This Automatic Espresso coffee/espresso machine should only be used to prepare espresso, coffee, hot water or
to froth milk.
The guarantee period of this appliance is 2 years and/or 6000 cycles with maximum 3000 cycles per year. Please
refer to the guarantee document for details on the other guarantee terms and conditions in your country.
Your appliance has not been designed for commercial and/or professional use.

the descaling activity. Perform the entire cleaning cycle thoroughly as there may be a risk of intoxication. If one of the
products supplied with the appliance is swallowed, inform your doctor and/or poison centre immediately.
The use of oily, caramelised or aromatic coffee beans is not recommended in this appliance. These types of beans
can damage the appliance. Never put coffee grounds in the coffee bean hopper.
For safety reasons, while producing steam for making a cappuccino, heating milk or heating water, take care not to put
your hand under the steam nozzle or the super cappuccino accessory, or under the coffee nozzle while making coffee.
The steam nozzle can be very hot, take care not to handle it during or just after use.
Check that the voltage of your appliance corresponds to your domestic power supply. Any error in connection may
cause irreversible damage and invalidate the guarantee. The appliance should only be plugged into a socket with an
earth connection. Check that the socket outlet can be easily accessed so that the plug can be disconnected easily

near a source of heat or a sharp edge.
The use of multiple plugs or extension leads is not recommended. Unplug your appliance as soon as you have
stopped using it for a long period or when cleaning it.
Non-compliance with these instructions or any contact between the appliance’s conductive parts with humidity or
water can cause fatal injuries due to the presence of electricity!
This appliance should only be used indoor and dry locations at room temperature, avoid placing the appliance in
direct sunlight. If the room temperature should change from cold to hot, please wait a few hours before starting the
appliance to ensure that it is not damaged due to water condensation.
Take care not to place the appliance on a hot surface such as a warming plate or near a naked flame, to avoid any
risk of fire or other damage.
To avoid dirty water overflowing onto your work-top or running the risk of burning yourself, remember to fit the drip
tray and make sure you protect your work-top during the descaling cycles, particularly if it is made of marble, stone

In the event of a malfunction or poor working condition, check the appliance and try to resolve the problem (see table:
Problems and corrective measures) or get the appliance repaired if the malfunction persists.
Only a qualified technician is authorised to perform repairs on the power cord and the electrical network.
If this instruction is not followed, you are at risk of death due to electric shock! Never use an appliance that is visibly

Use for any purpose other than those described in the present manual does not comply with the instructions and can

Use only TEFAL accessories and consumables in this machine to maintain the guarantee.
With the exception of cleaning and descaling according to the appliance’s instructions, any intervention on the
appliance must be performed by an approved TEFAL centre.
Any error in connection will invalidate your guarantee.
Any unauthorised opening of the appliance will negate the guarantee. Do not use your appliance if it is not working
properly or if it has been damaged. In this event, it is recommended that you get the appliance examined by an
approved TEFAL centre (refer to the list in the TEFAL service booklet).

Appliance preparation
■ To prevent used water spillage from making your work surface dirty and to avoid burning yourself, don’t
forget to attach the drip tray.
■ Remove and refill the water tank (1-2).
■ Refill the coffee bean container (3).
First use
■ Turn on the appliance by plugging it in then pressing the on/off button (4).
■ The machine pre-heats. At the end of the cycle, the symbols
and start button
start to flash.
■ Put a 0.6L container underneath the two coffee and steam nozzles.
■ Press the start/stop button (5) . The machine starts and rinses the hydraulic circuits (coffee and steam)
for around 2 minutes. At the end of the initialisation cycle, the coffee types menu appears. (6)

MAKING AN ESPRESSO AND A COFFEE
Steam is used to froth the milk, for example when preparing a cappuccino or caffe latte, and also to heat
up liquids. As a higher temperature is required when producing steam than when making an espresso, the
appliance will launch an additional pre-heating phase.
Frothing milk
■ For best results, you are advised to use very fresh, very cold pasteurised or UHT milk, recently opened.
Unpasteurised milk does not produce the best results.
■ Check that the steam nozzle is correctly positioned.
MAKING DRINKS USING STEAM
Preparing the grinder
You can adjust the strength of your coffee by adjusting how finely the coffee beans are ground.
Generally, the finer the coffee is ground, the stronger and creamier the coffee will be, but this also depends
on the type of coffee used.
Adjust the fineness of grinding by turning the coffee grounds fineness adjustment knob which is located
in the coffee bean container. It is advised that you do this during grinding, one notch at a time.
After 3 rounds, you will notice a pronounced difference in taste. To the left, the grounds are finer. To the right,
the grounds are courser. (7)
Claris F 088 - Aqua Filter System cartridge (Sold separately)
To optimise the taste of your drinks and the lifespan of your appliance, you are advised to only use a Claris -
Aqua Filter System cartridge with your machine (see the chapter OTHER FUNCTIONS – Installing the filter).
Every time you place a Claris-Aqua Filter into the machine you must prime the filter before using the machine
by activating the “install filter cartridge” program.
Note :
The amount of water for making an espresso is between 30 and 70 ml.
The amount of water for making a coffee is between 80 and 180 ml.
Starting preparation (with 1 or 2 cups)
■ Press the on-off button , and wait for the appliance to finish heating up.
■ The coffee types menu is displayed. The function indicator is shown above the coffee types button
(6).
■ Place one or two cups under the coffee jets. You can lower or raise the coffee jets according to the size
of your cup (8). Select the coffee strength (shown coffee beans displayed on the screen in brackets) with
the + button to increase or the - button to decrease. (9).
■ Press the navigation button to set the volume: select the volume of water displayed on the screen
between brackets using the + or - buttons (10).
■ Press the navigation button to set the number of cups: select 1 or 2 cups, displayed on the screen
between brackets using the + or - buttons .
■ Press the START button (11).
■ You can set the water volume at any time using the + or - buttons .
■ To stop the flow into your cup, press the STOP button .
■ You can also adjust the temperature of your coffee (see the chapter OTHER functions - Settings).

The appliance will automatically carry out 2 full cycles of coffee preparation.

■ Pour the milk into a milk jug which has a handle or into a cappuccino cup. Only fill it half way.
■ When the screen displays the drink selection menu, press the steam button (12). The function indicator
is located above the steam button .
■ Insert the steam nozzle into the milk.
■
A screen indicates that the appliance is heating up. Once the appliance has finished heating up, you can begin
to make steam by pressing START
, and following these steps (13):
Step 1: holding the milk jug in place, insert the steam nozzle approximately 2 cm into the milk and
wait for it to start frothing.
Step 2: raise the container slightly (approximately 1 cm). Do not completely submerge the metal
tube.
Step 3: gradually lower the container as the froth accumulates. (14)
■ When you have frothed the milk enough, press the STOP button
to stop the cycle. Warning: the cycle
does not stop immediately.
■ To remove any milk traces from the steam nozzle, place a container under the nozzle and start the steam
function again (approximately 10 seconds).
■ The steam nozzle is removable in order to allow for deep cleaning. Wash it with water and a little non-
abrasive detergent using a brush. Rinse and dry (15-16). Before replacing, make sure that the air holes are
not clogged with milk residue. Unclog the holes with the needle supplied with your appliance if necessary
(17).
■ To stop the steam, press the STOP button .
WARNING: THE CYCLE DOES NOT STOP IMMEDIATELY.
Steam can be produced for a maximum of 2 minutes per cycle.
Auto-cappuccino XS 6000 set (sold separately)
■ This auto-cappuccino accessory enables you to make cappuccinos or lattes (18). Connect the different
parts to each other. Ensure that the pipe is not pierced by keeping the knob in the correct place.
■ After removing the lid, fill the jug with milk (19) and place a cup or glass under the auto-cappuccino nozzle
(20). Select cappuccino or latte on the special nozzle (21).
■ Start steam, as indicated in the chapter Making drinks with steam.
■ Once you have made the milk froth, place your cup under the coffee jets and start a coffee cycle (22).
To prevent the milk from drying on the auto-cappuccino accessory, ensure that you clean it thoroughly. You
are advised to wash it immediately by running a steam cycle with the accessory jug filled with water in order
to clean the inside of the nozzle. For this you can use the KRUPS liquid detergent available separately.
Emptying the coffee grounds collector, the coffee drawer

and the drip tray
■ If the
symbol starts flashing, empty and clean the drip tray (the drip tray may contain coffee grains) and
the coffee grounds collector. Do the same for the coffee drawer
(1)
(23-24-25).
■ The drip tray is fitted with floats which indicate when it needs to be emptied (26). Once you have removed
the coffee grounds collector, you should empty it completely in order to avoid any overflow.
■ The warning message will continue to be displayed if the coffee grounds collector is not pushed in or
inserted correctly. You cannot make an espresso or a coffee while the warning message is shown.

Warning : after this rinsing process, hot water will be released from the coffee jet. Ensure that the drip
tray is in place even when the machine is not being used. The cycle lasts only a few seconds and stops
automatically.
Cleaning program - total duration: approximately 13 minutes
You do not have to run the cleaning program as soon as the appliance requests it, but it must be done
reasonably soon after. If cleaning is postponed, the alert message will remain illuminated until the process
is carried out.
■ When the

postpone this process. It is obligatory in order to rinse the water circuit. In this case, a new cleaning tablet
may be necessary. It is best to run the full cleaning program in order to avoid any risk of poisoning. The clea-
ning cycle is irregular: do not put your hands under the coffee jets while the cycle is running.
Descaling program - duration: approximately 20 minutes
You do not have to run the descaling program as soon as the appliance requests it, but it must be done
reasonably soon after. If descaling is postponed, the alert message will remain illuminated until the process
is carried out.
The amount of limescale collected depends on the hardness of your water.
Warning : if your product is fitted with our Claris - Aqua Filter System cartridge, remove the cartridge before
descaling.

You can turn off your appliance at any time. When stopped, the machine emits a double beep and OFF is
displayed on the screen. The appliance has registered your request and will stop as soon as possible.
Installing the filter (Claris - Aqua Filter System cartridge) (32)
Note : To correctly install your cartridge, ensure that you follow the installation procedure each time you replace
it.
(33) A mechanism which memorises the month in which the cartridge was changed and replaced (after a

Ensure that the opening in the end piece is not obstructed by milk residue or
limescale. Unclog the holes with the needle supplied with your appliance.
The steam nozzle makes little or no
milk froth.
For milk-based drinks, you use very fresh, very cold pasteurised or UHT milk. It is
also advisable to use a cold container. If the results do not improve, try changing the
brand of milk.
No steam comes out of the nozzle.
Empty the tank and temporarily remove the filter cartridge. Fill the water tank with
mineral water which is high in calcium (> 100 mg/l) and run successive steam
cycles.
The auto-cappuccino set makes
little or no froth.
The auto-cappuccino set does not
take in milk.
Check that the accessory is correctly attached to the appliance, remove it then
replace it.
Check that the flexible tube is not obstructed or pierced and that it is correctly
attached to the accessory so as to make it airtight. Rinse and clean the accessory
(refer to the “Auto-cappuccino accessory” chapter).
There is water underneath the
appliance.
Before removing the water tank, wait for 15 seconds after the coffee has finished
flowing so that the machine finishes its cycle properly.

that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product. This
guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from State
to State or Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.
***Where a product purchased in a listed country and then used in another listed country, the international TEFAL/T-FAL
guarantee duration is the one in the country of usage, even if the product was purchased in a listed country with different
guarantee duration. The repair process may require a longer time if the product is not locally sold by TEFAL/T-FAL. If the
product is not repairable in the new country, the international TEFAL/T-FAL guarantee is limited to a replacement by a
similar or alternative product at similar cost, where possible.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are
also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.
**For India only:
Your Tefal product is guaranteed for 2 years. The guarantee covers exclusively the repair of a defective product, but at
TEFAL’s choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. It is mandatory that
the consumer, to have his product repaired, has to log a service request on the dedicated Smartphone application TEFAL
SERVICE APP or by calling TEFAL Consumer Care Center at 1860-200-1232, Opening hours Mon-Sat 09 AM to 06 PM.
Products returned by Post will not be covered by the guarantee. As a proof of purchase consumer needs to provide both this
stamped guarantee card and cash memo.
