1. Press the 'Setting' button on your LG TV remote control.
2. Select 'All Settings' using the 'OK' button on your remote control
3. Select the 'Sound' menu.
4. Select 'Sound Out' . This is where you can choose how sound is outputted through your TV. Select the sound output you require.'Internal TV Speakers' : using the TV speakers.'HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth : connecting an external device.

Check before you start. These can be the reasons your remote control isn't working.
1. Low battery: replace the batteries in the remote control.
2. Obstacles in front of the TV: Remove all the obstacles in front of the TV that cover the receiver. The receiver is located at the bottom right corner or in the middle.
3. Intense light sources: An intense light source can obscure the infrared reader (e.g. brignt sunlight). Try moving the TV to another place. Registering the remote control. These can Un-register your remote control first. Disconnect the 'Remote registeration' by pressing and holding the 'Back button' and the 'Home button' together for 5 seconds. Then remove your fingers from the buttons and press the 'OK button'.
A notification will appear on top right: 'Remote registeration is disconnected'. Please press the [OK(wheel)] button to register.
When you press the 'OK' button, 'Registering New remote' notification will appear.
Follwed by this, you will get another notification 'Magic remote control has been successfully registered'.

Check before you continue. To record using your LG TV, you will need a USB drive. We recommend you to use a USB hard disc drive with 40GB-2TB strage.
Record.
1. Go to 'TV Guide' and select the show you wish to record.
2. Select the icon with 3 horizontal lines next to the show title using the 'OK' button on the remote control.
3. Simply select the 'Record' button and the program will be recorded to your Hard Disc Drive that you connected..
