Can the Skill control video-related functions of the SoundTouch 300 soundbar
and other SoundTouch home theater systems?
No. The Skill will only control music features of the SoundTouch system, such as access to
presets, “what’s playing” and multi-room music listening on home theater systems like the
SoundTouch 300.
Why is it necessary to say, “ask Bose to …”?
This is how Alexa Skills are currently constructed. In working with Amazon, we determined that
this is currently the best way to bring the benefits of Alexa voice control to our SoundTouch
customers.
Will the level of integration between Bose and Alexa change over time?
Yes. We have worked very closely with Amazon to develop this Skill, and we will continue to
collaborate with Amazon as the Alexa platform evolves to take advantage of all its latest features
and capabilities.
