#1 How does the power cord work on my air conditioner? When should I test the plug?

For your safety all Frigidaire air conditioners feature a 3-prong grounding plug and current leakage detection device.
These enhanced plugs help to detect damages to the power cord and can be tested following a few simple steps.
1. Press the reset button
2. Plug the cord into the power outlet
3. Press the test button, the reset button should pop up
4. Press reset button for use
5. Do not use room air conditioner if above test fails.

#2 Can my room air conditioner be covered while in use to prevent outdoor debris from getting inside vents?

Proper air flow into the air conditioner is essential for performance and
safe operation. Under no circumstances should you block or cover any
exterior or interior vents of the unit.

#3 How do I clean my air conditioner's air filter?

For most air conditioners, the filter can be found by opening the front
panel. Since it’s a reusable filter, you can simply remove and clean using
warm, soapy water. After cleaning, allow the filter to dry thoroughly
before replacing it. You may also vacuum the air filter to remove excess
dirt and particles.

#4 How do I store my room air conditioner for winter storage?

If you plan to store the air conditioner during the winter, remove it carefully
from the window according to the installation instructions. Cover it with
plastic or return it to its original carton.
NOTE: To prevent rust or electrical connections from being damaged, store
air conditioner in an upright position and a dry place
