cabinets below cooktop and at the range back.
B. Allow 30” minimum clearance between surface units

Cafe CES700P4MW2 Questions and Answers

#1 The rear vent fan comes on as soon as I turn on a burner. Is this what it's supposed to do? The fan is noisy as well.

This is normal operating function for this model range. The air vent fan helps cool off the unit while also ensuring proper air flow to avoid overheating. We apologize about any inconvenience this causes.

#2 Can I use Revere Ware copper bottom pots on the stove top?

Yes, Revere Ware pots and pans are approved for this model range.

#3 The convection fan not working in Convection Roast on a CES700P2M1S1. Purchased last May and haven't heard it in the very few times used

The convection mode uses air movement from the convection fan to improve browning and reduce cooking time. With the new technology used in this range, the fan will not produce much noise. We recommend scheduling service with a technician if you do not feel confident in the convection fan's functionality.

#4 Rear vent fan turns on whenever a burner is turned on, is this correct? Isn't the vent just for the oven? How loud should this fan/vent be when its on?

Many range products use fans to cool down the internal components. Some Cafe ranges use fans to help cool an oven or range after self-cleaning. The fan or blower could come on during any operation. The oven-cooling fan for the electronic controls is controlled by a thermostat. The cooling fan may run throughout the entire bake cycle and continue even when the oven is off. This is considered normal operation. The noise level of this fan is not rated in sones or decibels, however it should not be so noisy that you have trouble having normal conversation around the range.
