Oven Heating Elements
(on some models)
Oven rack
Do not clean the bake element or the broil
element. Any soil will burn off when the
elements are heated.
To clean the oven floor, gently lift
the bake element Clean with warm
soapy water
On some models, the bake element is not
exposed and is under the oven floor. If spillover
residue or ash accumulate on the
oven floor,
wipe up before self-cleaning.
Oven Racks
All oven racks may be cleaned by hand with an
abrasive cleaner or steel wool After cleaning,
rinse the racks with clean water and dry with a
clean cloth. Gray porcelain-coated oven racks
may remain in the oven during the self-cleaning
cycle without being damaged The shiny,
silver colored oven racks may remain in the
oven during the self-cleaning cycle, but they
will lose their luster and become hard to slide.
It will be necessary to grease all oven
rack side edges with a light coating of
vegetable oil after cleaning them
by hand or in the oven. This will help
maintain the ease o sliding the racks
in and out of the oven.
Oven Light Replacement (on somemodels)
replacing your oven light bulb, turn the oven
light off and disconnect the electrical power
to the range at the main fuse or circuit
breaker panel.
Be sure to let the light cover and bulb cool
completely.
Hold a hand under the cover so it
doesn’t fall when released. With fingers
of the same hand, firmly push back
the wire cover holder. Lift off the cover.
Replace bulb with a 40-watt household
appliance bulb.
Place it into groove of the light
receptacle. Pull wire forward to
the center of the cover until it snaps
into place.
Connect electrical power to the range.
