• 16 GUAGE FOR A TOTAL WIRE LENGTH OF UP TO 500’
• 14 GUAGE FOR A TOTAL WIRE LENGTH OF UP TO 1,000’

Line Level
Youcanconnectthesubwoofer’slinelevelinputtoasurround
processororreceiver’sline-leveldedicatedsubwooferLFEoutput
orastereopreamp/integratedamplier’sleftandrightvariablemain
outputs. If your receiver has a subwoofer output jack, you can
connectyoursubwoofer,usingtheLEFT/LFEinput(seeFigure2).
Speaker Level Input
Thesubwoofer’sspeakerinputscanbeconnectedtothespeaker
outputs of a receiver or integrated amp that does not have left and
right line-level outputs or a dedicated subwoofer output
(see Figure 2).
Connecttheprocessor’sdedicatedsubwooferoutputtotheleft
linelevelInputjacklabeledLEFT/LFE.Ifyouareinstallingtwo
subwoofersinthesystem,usea‘Y’connectortoconnectboth
subwooferstotheprocessor’ssubwooferoutput.

Connection Examples
Follow the connection example that best describes your audio
system. The examples are listed in descending order of preference,
withthemostidealmethodpresentedrst.Ifyoucanconnectthe
subwoofer to your system using more than one of the following
methods, use the one that is applicable.
Wireless Input
Your D8 Subwoofer comes with a built-in wireless receiver that
will link to the Sonance Wireless Transmitter (SKU 93360
sold separately). To link the receiver with the transmitter, connect
line level inputs from the Wireless Transmitter to the surround
processor or receiver following the line level instructions above.
Once your Sonance Wireless Transmitter and D8 are powered
on, press and hold the PAIR button on the back of the Wireless
Transmitter.OncethetransmitterisinPAIRmode,theLEDlight
will blink blue. Release the PAIR button and within 30 seconds,
press and hold the Wireless SYNC button on the bottom of the
subwoofer until the light on front of the Wireless Transmitter turns
solid blue, then release. Your D8 and Wireless Transmitter are
now paired.

Power Connection
Your Sonance Cabinet D8 Subwoofer features a removable IEC
power connector for 115V (see Figure 2). Plug the female end of
thepowercordintothepowercordconnectoronthesubwoofer’s
rear panel and plug the male end into a grounded wall socket.
DoNOTplugthesubwoofer’spowercordintoaconvenience
outlet on any other audio or video component.
