#2 does the floating cover help stop fish cooking smells

The cover does not float, just a picture showing it opening after cooking.

#3 Does this item have a drip tray ?

Yes, it does come with a drip tray. In the picture, it is the black piece in the centre at the bottom of the grill.

The approximate dimensions are 36.5 x 33 x 9 (LxWxH) cm .

#5 Hi, has panini press got an on/ off switch rather than relying from main only?

There is a on/off power switch on the side of the machine.
