USING YOUR ELECTRIC KETTLE
1 Pull the power cord out of the power base, then connect the
plug to a power outlet.
Note: The power cord is stored in the power base and can be
adjusted to the length you need.
2 Press the power switch down to turn on the kettle. The light
turns on and the water begins to heat.
After the water has boiled, the kettle turns o automatically and
the light turns o.
To shut o the power, lift the power switch to the o position.
Note: Make sure that the power switch is clear of obstructions and
the lid is rmly closed. Otherwise, your kettle will not turn o.
3 Lift the kettle from the base, then pour the water.
Note: The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is turned on. Let the
kettle cool for 15~20 seconds before trying to reheat the water.
WARNINGS:
• Use caution when pouring the water from your kettle. Contacting
boiling water may result in a serious burn.
• Do not open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
Boil-dry protection
If you try to operate the kettle without water, the boil-dry protection
automatically turns it o. If this should occur, let your kettle cool before
lling with cold water.

Notes:
• Before using your electric kettle for the rst time, clean your kettle by
boiling two full kettles of water, then discarding the water.
• Never ll the kettle with any liquid other than water.
1 Place the base on a at, heat resistant surface, as close as
possible to a power outlet.
2 Remove the kettle from the base and open the lid by pulling up
on the recessed handle on the lid.
3 Fill with the desired amount of water.
4 Close the lid. Place the kettle on the base, making sure that the
kettle contacts the base completely.

Notes:
• Always ll the kettle between the minimum (0.5L)
and maximum (1.7L) marks. Too little water results
in the kettle turning o before the water has
boiled. Too much water results in boiling water
ejecting.
