How To Clean The SmartSensor
The SmartSensor uses an infrared light to detect airborne particles. After prolonged periods
of use, dust can accumulate on the lens and affect the sensitivity of the sensor. If this occurs,
your unit will run on the highest speeds when set in Automatic mode and will not come down
to the lower speeds even after cleaning the air. To clean the sensor lens, rst turn your unit off.
Wet the end of a cotton swab with water and wipe the lens with it. Dry the lens with the other
end of the cotton swab. For best performance, clean the SmartSensor lens each time you
replace your lter.
WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK - These servicing instructions are for use by
qualied personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing
other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualied to do so.
3. Remove the used lter
by pulling out on the pull
strings. Place the used
lter in a plastic bag to
prevent dust from
re-entering the air.
4. Take the new lter out of
the plastic bag and insert it
into the air cleaner with the
pull strings facing outward.
5. Insert the top tabs of the
front cover rst and then
the lower part of the cover
will snap into place.
