Bosch WNA13400NL Questions and Answers

#1 What can I do if my washing machine makes noise?

Do you hear thumping and do you think the drum of your washing machine is making this noise? First check whether the transport bolts and transport sleeves have been removed according to the manual. Also make sure that the device is placed in a stable position.

If the drum of your washing machine makes a grinding or dragging sound and there is nothing in the drum wall (think of a bra bracket), we recommend that you contact Bosch customer service. Our experts can quickly provide you with good help.

#2 What can I do if my washing machine drum is loose?

Is the drum of your washing machine loose? Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this yourself. We recommend that you contact Bosch customer service. Our experts can quickly provide you with good help.

#3 What can I do if my washing machine smells strange?

If the washing machine smells strange, we recommend that you do not use household cleaners. The accumulation of odors in the laundry and washing machine can have various causes. For example, if you wash frequently at low temperatures or use an incorrect amount of detergent. You should therefore wash regularly at 60°C or higher and use the correct dosage of detergent. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations regarding dosage and amount of wax.

Another reason for residual odors in the washing machine may be that water is not draining. Check the machine's water supply, drain hose and drain pump. The odor can also come from the water supply or a blocked drainage system.

In addition, we recommend using the washing machine cleaner tested by Bosch. This way you can remove unpleasant odors and prevent them from arising in the future.

#4 How do I clean my washing machine?

We have developed a washing machine cleaner for cleaning your washing machine. The Bosch washing machine cleaner is ideal for removing detergent residues from the drum and thereby prevents unpleasant odors. This guarantees a clean, hygienic wash and improves the washing results.

If the washing machine is equipped with a drum cleaning program, always use it in combination with a washing machine cleaner for optimal results. For the best care, you should clean the drum of the washing machine approximately every three months.* Follow the instructions for our washing machine cleaner.

You may have heard that citric acid removes limescale and you want to clean your washing machine with it. Unfortunately this is not a good option. Citric acid is not recommended for cleaning your washing machine. It affects the rubber parts of the machine and causes the machine to wear faster. We also advise against cleaning your washing machine with products that you already have at home. Cleaning products that contain acid or vinegar can damage the rubber parts of your device.

Use a Bosch washing machine cleaner instead. It has been tested on Bosch washing machines and guarantees optimal results.
