#1 If tank holds 30 oz, is there any reason you can't make a 16 oz cup of coffee?

You can. You just need to run it twice with a 10 and 6 oz selection. You can brew the second selection immediately following the first.

#2 Can you use soft pods in ground coffee holder?

Nope, only place ground coffee into the ground coffee holder.

#3 Can this be hooked up to a water supply so it doesn't have to be filled?

I can't see how it could be done. You would have more in it for sensing the water level etc.

#4 What coffee pods is the coffee machine compatible with ?

I use the normal k cups with mine and have no issues.

#5 Why should I not place my ground coffee or capsule directly into the container?

There are is a filter to put the coffee in so it doesn’t go inside the machine !
