Cafe CEP90362NSS Questions and Answers

#1 With installing this product, it says to put those foam tape which then makes the product sit 3-4 mm off the surface where all food and particles can get trapped. Why can't it sit flush on the countertop? This is huge design flaw

It is normal for there to be a slight gap between the cooktop and the counter, especially when first installed. There is foam tape that is placed on the underside of the cooktop edge during installation. This foam tape is required, since it cushions and protects the cooktop. Over time, the foam will compress, though some gap could still be evident.

#2 Trying to decide between this model and a similar Profile unit. I see that it's rated for 45 Amps, and the Profile is 40 Amps. My circuit is 40 Amps, can't be upgraded. Can this run on a 40 Amp circuit so long as I don't use all burner simultaneously?

The recommended circuit breaker amperage for this model is 50 amps. We cannot verify that the cooktop will be fully functional using a circuit breaker that is any less than this.
