#1 What is the trick to remove the filter and clean? I can’t get leverage to remove it!

The filter would be able to slide out from behind the front grille, so the trick is to get a firm grip on the tab making it easier to slide out from the left.

#2 What is the decibel rating for this model?

There is no decibel rating for this model air conditioner.

#3 Since this unit has a base plug underneath, does the ac unit have to be installed at a downward angle? or can it be installed dead level?

The air conditioner should be sitting level or slightly tilting to the outside when it is installed in the window.

#4 The light above the power button has started flashing red. what am I supposed to do? I have only had this ac unit for a month.

Window room air conditioners with a "Filter" pad have an LED indicator light. The LED light will turn on when the fan has accumulated 250 hours of run time. This is to provide a reminder to clean the air filter. You simply press the "Filter" pad to turn off the LED indicator light and reset the accumulated run time.
