#1 Can I make tea with this product instead of coffee?

It works as a regular drip coffee maker would. So you could put loose leaf tea in the filter and brew over it or just brew hot water into a cup for a tea bag.

#2 Can you use this just to heat water for tea and put the teabag in your cup?

of course. all these other gadgets are around just to gather dust in a closet. think about it, how long does it take to brew a cup of tea in the first place! i love this one cup bella for a quick mug of coffee in the morning and it takes up very little space.

#3 Does the coffee come out pretty hot? I have a problem with single cup makers that won't keep coffee hot.

The coffee is plenty hot if you drink it right away. The machine does not have a warming plate.
