#1 How is the sound without a sub woofer? I know it says it's
built in, but does it actually have some bass?

Yes it has really nice bass. It plays music well and is perfect for an apartment. We use it in our camper and it rocks the walls off with bass if we let it. It is great for movies too. It has a voice button that makes a huge difference for movies. You can hear what they are saying very clearly. This is just a really well made and engineered sound bar.

#2 Can you connect it to a Tv that only has an aux cable input?

You need some sort of audio output on your TV - but the 3 primary methods are covered. This speaker has HDMI ARC (audio return channel), digital optical, and a 3.5mm stereo connector. If your TV has RCA outputs, you could get a cable that has a 3.5mm connector on one end and red + white RCA connections on the other end.

#3 Is the front covered in cloth? It's hard to tell on the pictures and I didn't see a description.

Yes. also, this unit has great sound. I was going to connect a subwoofer but the bass is very good without one.

#4 The initial description at the top says “built in sub woofers” but the reviews indicate there are no built in sub woofers. Which is correct?

There are no built in sub-woofers. There are woofers and there is an output jack to connect a sub-woofer to the sound bar

#5 If I feel the bass is too strong, can I turn it down? Will it affect overall sound quality?

Yes, there is an adjustment for subwoofer volume on the remote control. The effect on sound quality is entirely up to the listener's preference.

#6 Can this be hooked up to a prjojector and or laptop?

Yes. It has Bluetooth capabilities. So a laptop with Bluetooth should connect just fine. Also there is an analogue input which could be accomplished through the audio out of a projector if the audio signal is sent to the projector via HDMI.
