Kidde 21026051 Questions and Answers

#1 how long do the batteries last?

I have Kidde smoke detectors in every room. A quality, fresh 9-volt battery will last at least a year, and the detector will emit a short intermittent beep when the battery runs low.

I change all the 9-volt batteries at once, every 18 months.

#2 Is this the unit that was recalled for not detecting smoke?

there is no recall on this unit.

#3 How does it mount to the ceiling?

The unit has a mounting bracket and screws are included.
