RCA RFR836 Questions and Answers

#1 Is this fridge real stainless steel or just in color..?
It is real stainless steel.

#2 How many shelves?
Two shelves in the fridge and a small drawer compartment underneath the shelves. It does come with a 6 can compartment in the door and an area to fit a large item. No shelves in the freezer compartment.

#3 Is it normal that the engine never stops working?
It’s not normal coz the compress has to shut and restart just like in an air conditioning unit, if not d compressor will b overloaded and malfunction soon

#4 What is the temperature of the top freezer?
Don't know, but what I have in there is frozen. Good buy.

#5 Does ice cream stay frozen? The one in our RV leaves it more of a milkshake
My ice cream stays frozen.

#6 Does it hurt to lay it down if I need to move it to another home?
No it will not hurt the unit to be laid on its side, as long as it is empty.

#7 What color is it on the inside?
I got the black one. Inside is white. Does not cool well. Wouldn't get it again.

#8 Is it frost free? Or do you have to unplug every few months and scrape everything down?
Ive had it a few months and just noticed yesterday their is frost building up inside of the refrigerater part and that will need scraping. As for the actual freezer part, it has frost but doesn't ever really build up

#9 I ordered this this morning, but forgot to see if this works in regular plug. Will it?
I don't want to unplug mine but, if I remember right, it's a 3 prong plug. I plugged mine into a surge protector, just in case.
