#1 Can the surface grills be removed for cleaning ?

It can’t be removed,just clean right on top,but easy to clean.

#2 Can I use this commercially?

It’s small and hard to press down on something without it pushing it out. I wouldn’t use it commercially

#3 Has anyone made bacon in this by closing the top onto the bacon? How did that work?

Yes I have. Best bacon ever. Just keep an eye on it it cooks fast.

#4 How many sandwiches can I make at a time? also is it fast heating?

You can make two square slices or one large sandwich. It does heat fast, there is no temperature control though. Mine broke after a year, the wire went bad.

#5 Can this be stored standing up?

It is not designed for that. But as long as nothing goes on top I don't see a problem

#6 How Do You Wash It?

I use a tint bit of dish soap on a wet sponger and wash it off when it's cool. It's sort of a pain but it makes good quick sandwiches so i just tolerate it. It is more troubling to me that it does not shut off! It must be unplugged.
