manufactured with our valued consumers' safety in mind. Additionally, we ask that you
exercise a level of caution when using any electrical appliance by following all
instructions and important safeguards.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of fire, electric hazard and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or appliance itself in
water or other liquids.
3. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT CHILDREN OPERATE THIS APPLIANCE.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts.
5. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the
nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
6. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer
may cause injuries.

8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
10. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into wall outlet. To disconnect,
turn any control to OFF position, then remove plug from wall outlet.
11. Oversized foods or metal utensils must not be inserted in the appliance as they may
cause a fire or risk of electrical shock.
12. A fire may occur if the appliance is covered or touching flammable material
including curtains, draperies, walls and the like when in operation.
13. Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch
electrical parts, involving a risk of electrical shock.
14. Extreme caution should be exercised when using containers constructed of other
material other than metal or glass.
15. Do not place any of the following materials on the burner: Paper, cardboard, plastic
and the like.
16. Some countertop and table surfaces, such as Corian®, wood and/or laminates, are
not designed to withstand prolonged heat generated by certain appliances. It is
recommended by countertop manufacturers that a hot pad or trivet be placed
under your appliance to prevent possible damage to the surface.

SHORT CORD PURPOSE
NOTE:
A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of personal injury resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
If an extension cord is used: (1) the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should
be at least as great as the electrical rating of the product; (2) the extension cord should
be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can
unintentionally be pulled on or tripped over by
children or pets.
POLARIZED PLUG
If this appliance is equipped with a
polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other),
please follow the below instructions:
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet
only one way. If you are unable to fit the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the
plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with
an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the extension cord. Do not
alter the plug of the product or any extension cord being used with this product. Do not
attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

The temperature control knob allows you to adjust the
temperature with low (LO), medium (MED), and high (HI) settings.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Unpack contents. Remove any packaging materials such as plastic, cardboard, or
Styrofoam.
2. Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the base and heating elements
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE BURNER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS.
3. The initial use of the appliance may produce a slight smell and smoke. This is normal
and harmless and it comes from the burning of the protective substance applied to
the heating elements during manufacturing. The smoke and odor should go away
with subsequent use of the appliance. It is also recommended to run the unit for 15
minutes on the LOW setting to eliminate the odor and smoke before using it for the
first time.

HOW TO USE YOUR BURNER
1. Before plugging in your new burner, check to see that the electric circuit is not
overloaded with other appliances. This unit should always be operated on a
separate 120Volt AC outlet.
2. Be certain that your unit is set on a leveled, flat, heat resistant surface. Also, avoid
using pans that are unstable and easily tipped.
3. Place pan on heating element.
4. Turn the temperature control knob to the desired heat setting for LO (low), medium
(MED) or high (HI).
CAUTION: NEVER touch the heating elements while the burner is in operation. Doing
so will lead to serious personal injury.
5. When cooking is complete, turn the temperature control knob back to the "OFF"
position.
6. If the burner is not to be in use for a long period of time, it is highly recommended
to unplug the unit from the outlet. This prevents any accidental burns or injury.
7. When all parts have thoroughly cooled, be sure to clean the burner. Dry all parts
thoroughly before storing or operating the burner.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
MAKE SURE THE APPLIANCE IS SHUT OFF, UNPLUGGED FROM THE ELECTRICAL
OUTLET AND COMPLETELY COOL BEFORE CLEANING.
1. Wipe off the base and heating element with a damp soapy cloth.
2.
CAUTION: NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE OR ELECTRICAL CORD IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUID!
3. Thoroughly dry all parts before storing or using the unit again.
4. DO NOT USE ANY ABRASIVE SOAPS, DETERGENTS, OR CLEANING MATERIALS TO
CLEAN THE BURNER.
5. Any other servicing not recommended by the manufacturer may cause hazards and
should be performed by an authorized representative.

If you have any problems with this unit, contact Customer Service for support.
1. Your small kitchen appliance is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from any
manufacturing defects under normal use and conditions for one (1) year, cord excluded. This
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser of this product.
2. Retail stores/merchants selling this product do not have the right to alter, modify, or in any
way revise the terms and conditions of the warranty.
3. If you use your appliance for household use and according to instructions, it should give you
years of satisfactory service.
4. At its sole discretion, Maxi-Matic USA will either repair or replace the product found to be
defective during the warranty period.
5. The repaired or replacement product will be in warranty for the remaining balance of the
one-year warranty period and an additional one-month period.
6. Consumer’s remorse is not an acceptable reason to return a product to our Service Center.
7. This limited warranty covers appliances purchased and used within the 50 U.S. states plus the
District of Columbia and does NOT cover normal wear of parts or:
- Damages caused by unreasonable use, neglect, normal wear and tear, commercial use,
improper assembly or installation of product.
- Damages caused in shipping.
- Damages caused by replacement or resetting of house fuses or circuit breakers.
- Defects other than manufacturing defects.
- Breakage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, alteration, lack of proper care and maintenance,
or incorrect current or voltage.
- Lost or missing parts of the product. Parts will need to be purchased separately.
- Damages of parts that are not electrical; i.e. cracked or broken plastic/glass, scratched/dented
inner pots.
- Damage from service or repair by unauthorized personnel.
- Extended warranties purchased via a separate company or reseller.
- Acts of God such as fire, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc.

This warranty does not apply to re-manufactured merchandise.
Maxi-Matic, USA shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the
breach of any express or implied warranty. Apart from the extent prohibited by applicable law, any
implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in time to the
duration of the warranty.
*One Year Limited Warranty valid only in the 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia, excluding
Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA; product usage
which is in violation of the written instructions provided with the unit will void this warranty.

This warranty gives you special legal rights and you may also have other rights to which you are
entitled which may vary by state, province, and/or jurisdiction.

RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
RETURNS:
A. Any return of defective merchandise to the manufacturer must be processed accordingly by
first contacting customer service (info@maxi-matic.com) to obtain an RA # (Return
Authorization Number). We will not accept any returns of merchandise without an
applicable RA #.
B. IMPORTANT RETURN INSTRUCTIONS. Your Warranty depends on your following these
instructions if you are returning the unit to Maxi-Matic, USA:
1. Carefully pack the item in its original carton or other suitable box with sufficient
cushioning to avoid damage in shipping.
2. Before packing your unit for return, be sure to enclose:
a) Your name, full address with zip code, daytime telephone number,
and RA#,
b) A dated sales receipt or PROOF OF PURCHASE,
c) The model number of the unit and the problem you are having
(Enclose in an envelope and tape directly to the unit before the box is
sealed,) and
d) Any parts or accessories related to the problem.
3. Maxi-Matic, USA recommends that you ship the package via UPS ground service
for tracking purposes.
We cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged
products returned to us during incoming shipment.
For your protection, always
carefully package the product for shipment and insure it with the carrier. C.O.D
shipments cannot be accepted.
4.
All return shipping charges must be prepaid by you.
5. Once your return has been received by our warehouse, Maxi-Matic, USA will
repair or replace the product if it is defective in material or workmanship, subject
to the conditions in paragraph B.
6.
Maxi-Matic will pay the shipping charges to ship the repaired or replacement
product back to you.

IMPORTANTES MEDIDAS DE SEGURIDAD

alfombras y paredes cuando esté en uso.
17. Extrema precaución deberá tener cuando use depósitos construidos de otro material que
no sean de metal o vidrio, si aplica.
18. No ponga dentro o en la superficie exterior del aparato los siguientes materiales,
papel, cartón, plásticos, algún otro material inflamable o artículos similares que no
sean comestibles
19. PRECAUCION. Par evitar daños a la superficie de sus muebles. Algunas superficies de mesas
o mostradores hechos y recubiertos de laminado de CORIAN, MADERA FINA O FORMICA. No

EL USO DE UN CORDÓN CORTO
1. Para reducir el riesgo de daños personales, como un tropezón o enredarse con el
cordón eléctrico, un cordón eléctrico corto es suministrado con la unidad.
2. Una extensión eléctrica más larga podrá ser utilizada, siempre y cuando tome
extremas precauciones durante su uso.
3. Si una extensión eléctrica más larga va a ser utilizada, tenga muy en cuenta las
siguientes recomendaciones:

Las especificaciones eléctricas especialmente el
(amperaje
)
del cordón eléctrico
a utilizar deberá de ser igual o de más amperaje que el especificado en el
aparato a utilizar.
•
La extensión eléctrica
deberá de ser colocada de una manera que no cuelgue
de la mesa, donde una mascota, los niños o cualquier otra persona lo pueda
jalar o tropezar sobre ella, accidentalmente.
ENCHÚFE POLARIZADO
Si este aparato es suministrado con un cordón eléctrico de
enchufe polarizado
(un lado
del enchufe es más ancho que el otro) favor de seguir las siguientes recomendaciones.
Para reducir el riesgo de una descarga eléctrica,
este enchufe está diseñado para entrar
en el receptáculo eléctrico de una sola manera. Si el enchufe eléctrico no entra
completamente, de un giro al mismo y trate de nuevo; si no entra de ninguna manera,
póngase en contacto con un electricista para solucionar el problema.
NO TRATE DE MODIFICAR EL ENCHÚFE DE NINGUNA MANERA.
ANTES DEL PRIMER USO
1. Limpie todas las partes antes de usar por vez primera. Esto sirve para remover todo
polvo o suciedad que se acumula en el aparato cuando está en su empaque original.
2. Desempaque su parilla. Remueva todo el material de empaque de la parilla como
plástico, hielo, seco, cartón, etc...
3. Use una toalla o esponja húmeda para limpiar la superficie de la parilla junto con los
elementos térmicos.
PRECAUCION: NUNCA SUMERJA LA PARILLA NI EL CORDON ELECTRICO EN AGUA O
EN NINGUN OTRO LIQUIDO.
4. Cuando use la unidad por primera vez, usted va a notar algo de humo y olor a
quemado. Esto es causado porque el aparato está quemando los residuos
protectores de barniz aplicados en nuestra fábrica. Esto es normal y no causará
daño alguno y desaparecerá con el uso subsiguiente del aparato. También, puede
operar el aparato usando la función de calor bajo (LOW) por 15 minutos para
eliminar el olor y humo.

COMO USAR
ADVERTENCIA
: Este aparato debe ser conectado a su propio tomacorriente y uno que sea
de 120V. No comparta el tomacorriente con otros aparatos cuando opere su parilla.
1.
Asegúrese de colocar su parilla sobre una superficie plana, estable y resistente al
calor.
2.
Coloque la olla o sartén sobre el Elemento Térmico.
NOTA
: Evite usar ollas o sartenes que sean no estables y que no son fáciles de caer.
3.
Gire el Control de Temperatura hacia la posición deseada: bajo (LO), medio (MED) o
alto (HI).
4.
Conecte el cordón eléctrico a un tomacorriente de 120V AC.
5.
El elemento térmico se calentará de manera uniforme sobre toda la superficie. La
luz indicadora se encenderá en rojo.
PRECAUCION: No lo toque el elemento térmico cuando este en uso dado a que está
sumamente caliente.
6.
Después de usarse, coloque el botón que el Control de Temperatura en posición de
apagado “OFF”, desconecte el cordón eléctrico del tomacorriente. Esto ayudará a
prevenir accidentes de quemaduras.
7.
Deje que la unidad se enfrié completamente antes de limpiar.
8.
Limpie y seque la parilla completamente antes de almacenar o usar de nuevo.
MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA
1.
No use jabones, detergentes o materiales abrasivos para limpiar su parilla.
2.
Asegúrese que la parilla este apagada y desconectada del tomacorriente antes
limpiar.

2. Si necesita cambiar la unidad, devuélvala en su caja original, con el recibo de compra, a
la tienda donde lo compró. Si usted está más allá del plazo concedido para el retorno
por la política de la tienda, por favor consulte la garantía incluida.
3. Si utiliza el aparato para uso doméstico y de acuerdo con las instrucciones, debería
ofrecerle años de servicio satisfactorio.
4. Durante el período de garantía de un año, un producto con un defecto será reparado o
reemplazado por un modelo nuevo o reacondicionado (a nuestro criterio) cuando el
producto sea devuelto a nuestro Centro de Servicio. (Consulte la sección
"Devoluciones" a continuación).
5. El producto reparado o reemplazado estará garantizado por el saldo restante del
período de garantía de un año y un plazo adicional de un mes.

INSTRUCCIONES DE DEVOLUCIÓN
DEVOLUCIONES:
A. Cualquier devolución de mercancía defectuosa al fabricante deben ser procesados
apropiadamente contactando primero al servicio al cliente (información de contacto se
muestra a continuación) para obtener un # RA (Número de autorización de devolución). No se
aceptará ninguna devolución de mercancía sin un # RA aplicable.
B. INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES DE RETORNO. Su garantía depende que usted siga estas
instrucciones si va a devolver la unidad a Maxi-Matic EE.UU.:
1. Empaque cuidadosamente el producto en su caja original o en otra caja adecuada
para evitar daños durante el envío.
2. Antes del envío de la devolución unidad, asegúrese de adjuntar:
a) Su nombre, dirección completa con código postal, número de teléfono
durante el día, y #RA
b) Un recibo de compra fechado o COMPROBANTE DE COMPRA,
c) El número de modelo de la unidad y el problema que tiene (Encierre en
un sobre y pegue directamente a la unidad antes de sellar la caja) y
d) Todas las piezas o accesorios relacionados con el problema.
3. Maxi-Matic EE.UU. recomienda enviar el paquete de servicio terrestre de UPS para
fines de seguimiento. No podemos asumir la responsabilidad por productos
perdidos o dañados devueltos a nosotros durante el transporte entrante. Para su
protección, siempre cuidadosamente empaquetar el producto para su envío y
asegurarlo con la compañía. Envíos C.O.D no puede ser aceptado.
4.
