Presto 05813 Questions and Answers

#1 Does this model come with a removable power cord?

The power chord is not removable.

#2 Does the rice burn at the bottom if kept too long at warming?

No, it has never burned but a bit crispy at the bottom when you kept it at warming for so long. Most of the time, I only cook enough rice for one meal for us. So far, it cooks perfectly & I'm very happy with this purchased.

#3 Can it stay keep warm for weeks without it being automatically being switched off?

Yes, I think so. so for I only allowed it to keep warm for few hours. But I couldn't figure out it being automatically shut off.

#4 Is the top removeable for cleaning?

No, the top is not removable, nor is the liner inside the top. But it's easy enough to clean. The vent cap is removable for easy cleaning.

#5 Is the pot that you actually cook the rice in stainless steel or just the exterior?

Only the exterior is stainless steel. The interior pot is a nonstick pot, though the rice can stick a bit if you let it sit for too long.

#6 Will this rice cooker make sticky rice?

Yes..the rice cooker makes the rice a bit sticky, and I like it that way. Just add a little more water then recommended, and make the rice a little moister
