represents the wall or ceiling area for the vent cut-out and for fitting the
connection socket. Recirculation mode rangehoods only require an electrical
connection socket.

Safety distance (S)
The minimum distances between the highest part of a cooktop (including
trivets, dials - depending on model) and the bottom of the rangehood are as
follows, unless a greater distance is specified by the manufacturer of your
