Preparing for use
Placing the battery
1 To remove the battery compartment cover, turn it
clockwise until the setting indicator points to the
'unlocked' indication (^) (Fig. 3).
2 Pull the battery compartment cover o the handle
(Fig. 4).
3 Put the battery in the battery compartment (Fig. 5).
Make sure the + and - poles of the battery point in
the right direction.
Note: The appliance operates on one AA 1.5-volt
battery (included).
4 Slide the battery compartment cover back onto
the handle (Fig. 6).
5 Turn the battery compartment cover anticlockwise
until the setting indicator points to the 'locked’
indication (|) (Fig. 7).
Note: Make sure your hands and the product are dry
when you insert the battery.
Using the product
Always check the product and all accessories
before you use it. Do not use the product or any
accessory if it is damaged, as this may cause injury.
Always replace a damaged part with one of the
original type.
Do not use the product without the skin protector
or the trimming guard (Fig. 8).
- You can use the product wet or dry to shave
or trim hair on all parts of the body below the
neckline.
- The product works best under dry conditions. Dry
your skin with e.g. a towel when using it on moist
areas, such as underarms.
- Since all hairs do not grow in the same direction,
you may want to try dierent trimming directions
(i.e. upwards, downwards, or across). Practice is
best for optimum results.
- Stretch the skin in sensitive areas such as the chest
and the scrotum (Fig. 9).
- You have to acquire practice with the product.
Your skin also needs some time to adjust to the
procedure.
- It is not necessary to press hard to get a close
result. Pressing too hard may cause skin irritation,
and the product will not function properly.
If any irritation or allergic reaction occurs,
discontinue use immediately.
- When too many hairs have accumulated on the
product, remove the hairs before and/or during
use, for best trimming results.
Attaching and detaching the skin protector and
trimming guard
1 Make sure that the product is switched o.
2 To attach the skin protector or the guard to the
product,snap it onto the trimming head (Fig. 10).
3 To detach the skin protector or the guard from
the guard, carefully hold it on its sides and pull it
upwards o the trimming head.
Switching the product on and o
- To switch on the product, slide the on/o slide up
(Fig. 11).
- To switch o the product, slide the on/o slide
down (Fig. 12).
Trimming
Trimming with the skin protector
Use the product with the skin protector to trim
hair close to the skin (to a length of approx.
1/32in./0.5mm).
1 Attach the skin protector to the product (see
'Attaching and detaching the skin protector and
trimming guard').
2 Switch on the product (see ' Switching the product
on and o').
3 Place the skin protector at on the skin with the
handle at an angle of 45° to the skin (Fig. 13).
4 Move the product against the direction of hair
growth while applying gentle pressure. Make slow
and well-controlled movements and make sure
that the skin protector always stays in contact with
the skin.
Trim longer hair with the trimming guard before
trimming it with the skin protector. The skin protector
is only intended to trim short hair.
Trimming with the trimming guard
Use the product with the trimming guard to trim
longer hair to a length of 1/8in.(3 mm).
1 Attach the trimming guard to the product (see
'Attaching and detaching the skin protector and
trimming guard').
2 Switch on the product (see ' Switching the product
on and o').
3 Place the trimming guard at on the skin with the
handle at an angle of 45° to the skin (Fig. 13).
4 Move the product against the direction of hair
growth while applying gentle pressure. Make
slow and well-controlled movements and make
sure that the at part of the guard always stays in
contact with the skin.
Cleaning
Switch o and clean the product after each use.
1 Switch o the product (see ' Switching the product
on and o').
2 Remove the skin protector or trimming guard if
still attached to the product (see 'Attaching and
detaching the skin protector and trimming guard').
3 Use the cleaning brush to clean the skin protector
and/or trimming guard (Fig. 14).
4 Use the cleaning brush to clean the inside of the
trimming head (Fig. 15).
5 Rinse the skin protector and/or trimming guard
under the tap (Fig. 16).
6 Rinse the inside of the trimming head under the
tap (Fig. 17).
Make sure that the battery compartment is properly
closed before rinsing the product under the tap.
7 Carefully shake o excess water and let all parts air
dry completely.

Trim longer hair with the trimming guard before
trimming it with the skin protector. The skin protector
is only intended to trim short hair.
Trimming with the trimming guard
Use the product with the trimming guard to trim
longer hair to a length of 1/8in.(3 mm).
1 Attach the trimming guard to the product (see
'Attaching and detaching the skin protector and
trimming guard').
2 Switch on the product (see ' Switching the product
on and o').
3 Place the trimming guard at on the skin with the
handle at an angle of 45° to the skin (Fig. 13).
4 Move the product against the direction of hair
growth while applying gentle pressure. Make
slow and well-controlled movements and make
sure that the at part of the guard always stays in
contact with the skin.
Cleaning
Switch o and clean the product after each use.
1 Switch o the product (see ' Switching the product
on and o').
2 Remove the skin protector or trimming guard if
still attached to the product (see 'Attaching and
detaching the skin protector and trimming guard').
3 Use the cleaning brush to clean the skin protector
and/or trimming guard (Fig. 14).
4 Use the cleaning brush to clean the inside of the
trimming head (Fig. 15).
5 Rinse the skin protector and/or trimming guard
under the tap (Fig. 16).
6 Rinse the inside of the trimming head under the
tap (Fig. 17).
Make sure that the battery compartment is properly
closed before rinsing the product under the tap.
7 Carefully shake o excess water and let all parts air
dry completely.

0,5mm / 1/32pulgadas).
1 Ajuste la protección para piel al cuerpo del
producto (ver 'Extracción y colocación del
protector para piel y el protector de recorte').
2 Encienda el producto (ver ' Encendido y apagado

Colocación de la batería
1 Para retirar la tapa del compartimento de
las baterías, gírela a la derecha hasta que el
indicador de ajuste apunte hasta la indicación de

2 Jale de la tapa del compartimento de las baterías
hacia fuera del mango (Fig. 4).
3 Coloque la batería en el compartimento de la
batería (Fig. 5).
Verique que los polos + y - de la batería estén en
la posición correcta.
Nota: El artefacto funciona con una batería AA de

4 Deslice la tapa del compartimento de las baterías
de nuevo sobre el mango (Fig. 6).
5 Gire la tapa del compartimiento de la batería
hacia la izquierda hasta que el indicador de ajuste

Uso del producto
Revise siempre el producto y accessorios antes

Extracción y colocación del protector para piel
y el protector de recorte

3 Para extraer el protector para piel, sosténgalo con

Recorte
Recorte con protección para piel
Use el producto con el protector para piel para cortar
el vello cerca de la piel (a una longitud aproximada de
0,5mm / 1/32pulgadas).
1 Ajuste la protección para piel al cuerpo del
producto (ver 'Extracción y colocación del
protector para piel y el protector de recorte').
2 Encienda el producto (ver ' Encendido y apagado
del producto').
3 Coloque el protector para piel en la posición plana
sobre la piel con el mango en un ángulo de 45° de
la piel (Fig. 13).
4 Mueva el producto a contrapelo, ejerciendo una

3 Use el cepillo de limpieza para limpiar el protector

5 Enjuague el protector para piel y/o el protector de

Si no está completamente satisfecho con su producto,
envíelo de regreso y le reembolsaremos el total de la

El producto debe enviarse por correo certicado
pago, con seguro prepago, junto con el recibo
original de compra, donde se indique el precio
y la fecha de compra, así como el formulario de
autorización para la garantía de devolución de
dinero.
No asumimos ninguna responsabilidad por los
paquetes perdidos.
El paquete del producto debe contar con matasellos
que no supere los 45días a partir de la fecha de
compra. Philips se reserva el derecho a vericar el
precio de compra del producto y limita los reembolsos
