values are displayed in turn with the date and time.
Y
ou can delete the memory by pressing and holding
the memory button M for 3 seconds.
T
o switch off, press the START/STOP button .
I
f you forget to switch off the unit, it will switch off auto-
matically after 1 minute.
NOTE:
T
his monitor will re-inflate automatically if the system
detects that your body requires more pressure for mea-
surement. As soon as a heart rate is detected, the heart
rate symbol is displayed.
W
hen the measurement is completed the cuff will
deflate entirely. Heart rate, systolic and diastolic blood
pressure are displayed.
Y
ou can interrupt measurement at any time by pressing
the start/stop button .
E
rr
_ appears if it has not been possible to perform the
measurement properly. Observe the section on error
messages/ troubleshooting and repeat the measure-
ment.
T
he test result is saved automatically.
T
o switch off and release the pressure, press the start/
stop button again. If you forget to switch off the
device, it switches off automatically after approx. 1
minute.
W
ait at least 5 minutes before taking another mea-
surement.
7. Evaluating Results
7.1 Irregular heartbeat symbol
WARNING:
T
he ’irregular heartbeat’ function does not replace a
cardiac examination, but may help to detect potential
pulse irregularities at an early stage. Always consult
your physician to determine what will be suitable for
you.
T
he ’irregular heartbeat’ function is not designed for
diagnosing or treating an arrhythmic disorder. Arrhyth-
mia can only be ascertained by a licensed physician.
This symbol (
) indicates that certain heartbeat/pulse
irregularities were detected during the measurement.
Cardiac arrhythmia:
This instrument can identify possible cardiac arrhythmia
disorders during measurement and if necessary indicates
the measurement with the flashing icon .
This may be an indicator for arrhythmia. Arrhythmia is a
condition where the heart rhythm is abnormal as a result
of defects in the bioelectrical system controlling the heart
beat. The symptoms (omitted or premature heart beats,
