or broken blade or trimming attachment,
as facial injury may occur.
11. Always attach plug to appliance first, then

12. Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to recharge.
13. During use, do not place or leave the
appliance where it is expected to be subject
to damage by an animal, or exposed to
weather.
To disconnect, turn unit “OFF - 0,”

RECHARGING
1. This trimmer is conveniently designed for household use. It
should be allowed to charge overnight before first use.
2. Remove the trimmer, recharging transformer and accessories
from the packing material.
3. Connect the transformer to the trimmer. BE SURE TRIMMER IS
IN THE “OFF - 0” POSITION WHEN CHARGING.
4. Plug the recharging transformer into any convenient electrical
outlet at the correct voltage.
5. Before using for the first time, charge the trimmer for 16 hours to
maximize the battery life.
6. Ni-Cad battery life may be extended with the following procedure:
Once every month, let the trimmer run until the motor stops.
Move the switch to the “OFF - 0” position and recharge fully (16
hours).
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your Trimmer does not seem to take a charge, check the following
before returning it for repair:
1. Check outlet current by plugging in another appliance.
2. Make sure the outlet simply is not connected to a light switch
which turns the power at the outlet off when lights are turned off.
3. Be sure the trimmer is properly connected to the recharging
transformer, all connections are secure and the switch on the
trimmer is turned “OFF - 0.”
4. If your electricity is connected to a master power switch, we
suggest the trimmer be disconnected from the charger anytime
the master switch is off. Leaving the unit plugged into a dead
outlet or an unplugged charger will drain the battery.

RECYCLE/REPLACEMENT
OF NI-CAD BATTERY
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.
Under normal use, the rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries in
your trimmer may last up to five years. At the end of their life, when
they will no longer take a full charge, the nickel-cadmium batteries
must be removed and recycled or disposed of properly. Do not
attempt to replace the batteries. All servicing or battery replacement
should be performed by an Authorized WAHL Service Location. To
remove the battteries for recycling or disposal, follow these steps:
1. Unplug transformer from outlet, disconnect cord from
trimmer and allow the batteries to completely
run down before disassembly.
2. Remove any attached trimming heads.
3. Pry open grip pad.
4. Remove all 3 screws from top
cover plate.
5. Pry the trimmer housing
apart.

DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
The RBRC Battery Recycling Seal on the nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery
contained in this product indicates Wahl is voluntarily participating in an
industry program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of their useful
life, when taken out of service in the United States or Canada. The RBRC
program provides a convenient alternative to placing used Ni-Cd batteries into
the trash or the municipal waste stream, which is illegal in some areas. Please

CARING FOR YOUR TRIMMER
CLEAN BEFORE FIRST USE
CLEANING/STORAGE
Store unit in such a manner so that blades are protected from
damage.
Periodically after use, turn the trimmer “OFF” and rinse both
cutting heads under warm, running water. For more thorough
cleaning, remove the attached cutting head by turning it slightly
counterclockwise. Then rinse the entire head under running water.
After cleaning, replace desired cutting head by turning slightly
clockwise and wipe the entire trimmer dry with a soft cloth.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Your trimmer has been designed with several advanced features to
help you get perfect results every time you trim. Your trimmer may
be used to touch-up around ears, nose and eyebrows, neatly detail
goatees, beards, mustaches, or anywhere you may need grooming.

INSTALLATION/REMOVAL OF TRIMMING HEADS
Make sure trimmer unit is turned “OFF”.
1. Turn trimmer head counterclockwise
1/4 turn and lift off.
2. Place trimmer head on trimmer and
turn trimmer head clockwise 1/4 turn
to lock on.
TRIMMING NOSE HAIR
Make sure the nasal passages are clean. Slowly move the rotary
blade/detailer in and out of each nostril, no more than 1/4-inch
deep.
TRIMMING EAR HAIR
Make sure the outer areas of the ears do not contain any wax.
Hold the ear flat with one hand and carefully insert rotary blade/
detailer no more than 1/4-inch into the outer ear.
CAUTION: Do not insert the rotary blade/detailer or any other
foreign object into the inner ear. For hair growing on the outside
of the ear, simply move the rotary blade/detailer slowly along the
edges of the ear.
TRIMMING WITH EYEBROW
ATTACHMENT COMB
To install eyebrow attachment comb, place eyebrow
attachment comb over reciprocating head. The
attachment comb allows you to trim and shape
eyebrows. Trim by following in the direction of hair
growth.

RECARGA
1. Esta recortadora está diseñada adecuadamente para uso
doméstico. Debe dejar que se cargue toda la noche antes de
usarla por primera vez.
2. Saque la recortadora, el transformador de recarga y los accesorios
del material de embalaje.
3. Conecte el transformador a la recortadora. ASEGÚRESE DE
QUE LA RECORTADORA ESTÉ APAGADA (POSICIÓN “OFF – 0”)
CUANDO SE CARGUE.
4. Enchufe el transformador de recarga en un tomacorriente
adecuado con el voltaje correcto.
5. Antes de utilizarla por primera vez, cargue la recortadora durante

6. La vida útil de la batería de Ni-Cad se puede prolongar con el
siguiente procedimiento: Una vez al mes, deje la recortadora

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Si parece que la recortadora no se carga, verifique lo siguiente antes

RECICLAJE/REEMPLAZO
DE LA BATERÍA DE NI-CAD
No combine baterías viejas y nuevas. No combine baterías alcalinas,
estándar (carbono-zinc) o recargables (Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, etc.).
En condiciones normales de uso, las baterías de níquel-cadmio
recargables de la recortadora pueden durar hasta cinco años. Al final
de su vida útil, cuando ya no se carguen por completo, las baterías
de níquel-cadmio se deben extraer y reciclar o desechar de forma
correcta. No intente reemplazar las baterías. Todas las tareas de
mantenimiento o reemplazo de baterías deben ser realizadas por un
centro de servicio autorizado de WAHL. Al extraer las baterías para

CUIDADO DE LA RECORTADORA
LÍMPIELA ANTES DEL PRIMER
USO
LIMPIEZA/ALMACENAMIENTO
Guarde la unidad de manera que las cuchillas queden protegidas de
posibles daños.
Periódicamente, después del uso, apague la recortadora y
enjuague con agua tibia ambos cabezales de recorte. Para lograr
una limpieza más minuciosa, retire el cabezal de recorte montado
girándolo levemente en el sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj. A
continuación, enjuague con agua todo el cabezal. Luego de realizar la
limpieza, coloque el cabezal de recorte deseado girándolo levemente
en el sentido de las agujas del reloj y seque toda la recortadora con
un paño suave.
CARACTERÍSTICAS ESPECIALES:
Su recortadora ha sido diseñada con varias características avanzadas
para ayudarlo a obtener resultados perfectos cada vez que se recorta
el pelo. La recortadora se puede utilizar para hacer retoques alrededor

INSTALACIÓN/DESINSTALACIÓN DE CABEZALES
DE RECORTE
Asegúrese de que la unidad recortadora
esté apagada (“OFF”).
1. Gire el cabezal de recorte en el sentido
contrario a las agujas del reloj 1/4 de
vuelta y levante.
2. Coloque el cabezal de recorte y gírelo en el sentido de las agujas
del reloj 1/4 de vuelta para trabarlo.
RECORTE DEL VELLO DE LA NARIZ
Asegúrese de que las fosas nasales estén limpias. Mueva
lentamente la hoja giratoria/el delineante hacia adentro y afuera
de cada fosa nasal, con una profundidad que no supere el 1/4 de
pulgada (0,6 cm).
RECORTE DE VELLO DE LA OREJA
Asegúrese de que no haya cera en las áreas externas de las
orejas. Mantenga la oreja plana con una mano y cuidadosamente
inserte la hoja giratoria/el delineante no más de 1/4 de pulgada
(0,6 cm) hacia el pabellón de la oreja.
PRECAUCIÓN: No inserte la hoja giratoria/el delineante ni
ningún otro objeto extraño en el oído interno. Para el vello que
crece fuera de la oreja, simplemente mueva la hoja giratoria/el
delineante lentamente a lo largo de los bordes de la oreja.
RECORTE CON PEINE ACCESORIO PARA CEJASA
Para instalar el peine accesorio para cejas, coloque el
peine sobre el cabezal alternante. El peine accesorio
permite recortar y dar forma a las cejas. Para recortar,
siga la dirección del crecimiento del pelo.
