wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the control to OFF ( ); then
remove plug from wall outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull

appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.

Do not use outdoors.

Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot

How to use the Coffee Grinder
Before first use: Clean the Coffee Grinder. See “Care and
cleaning” section.
1. Hold unit and pull away Cord Storage Cover. Unwind cord to
desired length. Secure cord in notch and push Cord Storage
Cover closed.
2. With Coffee Grinder unplugged, remove Lid by twisting
counter-clockwise until it releases and then lift off of base.
Use the cup markings to correspond to the number of cups
of coffee being made. Place beans in Removable Grinding
Chamber.
NOTE: Overfilling can cause unit to overheat and malfunction.
3. Align arrow on Lid with graphic on grinder; then twist Lid
clockwise until it locks into place. The grinder will not operate
without the Lid properly locked. Plug into outlet.
4. Press and hold ON (I) button. Grind 10 to 20 seconds,
depending on amount and desired grind. Use coarse grind
for percolators and medium to fine for drip coffeemakers.
A finer grind will yield stronger coffee. For spices, see
“Spice grinding chart”.
NOTE: The Coffee Grinder will only operate with Lid in place
and ON (I) button pressed.
5. To remove Lid, twist counterclockwise until it releases and
then lift off of Base.

Electrical Shock Hazard:
This appliance is provided
with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric
shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat
the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or
using by an adapter. If the plug does not fit, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet.
The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce
the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a
longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used.
The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater
than the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the
extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another
high-wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance.
Press and hold ON (I) button for 10–20 seconds at a time until
spices are ground to desired coarseness.
Tips for Best Results
• For best flavor, store coffee beans in a dark, airtight container.
• Grind beans immediately before brewing.
• Coffee flavor and strength is a personal preference. Vary the
type of coffee beans, amount of coffee, and fineness of grind to
find the flavor you prefer.
• Grinder should be cleaned between coffee and spice grinding to
help prevent taste and odor transfer.
• Grinder is intended for use with dried ingredients and is not
recommended for use with fresh herbs or nuts.
• Grinding coffee too finely can sometimes result in coffee
“overflow” from the brew basket
Care and Cleaning

• Failure to follow these instructions can result in death or
electrical shock.
1. Unplug from outlet before cleaning.
2.
To remove Grinding Chamber, twist and pull up and out of
Base.
3. Carefully wipe blades and cover with soft, damp cloth. Be
careful cleaning around sharp blades.
Cover and Grinding
Chamber are also dishwasher-safe.
NOTE: If water becomes trapped in Grinding Chamber, turn
upside down and allow to drain.
4. Wipe the Base with a damp cloth.
5. Open Cord storage by pulling Cord Storage Cover away from
the unit. Wrap Cord around center post. Secure Cord in notch.
Close the hide-away Cord Storage Cover. See Parts and
features section.
Limited Warranty
This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and
Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu
of any other warranty or condition.
This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original
purchase in Canada and one (1) year from the date of original purchase
in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy is repair or
replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at
our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with
returning the product to us and our returning a product or component
under this warranty to you. If the product or component is no longer
available, we will replace with a similar one of equal or greater value.
This warranty does not cover glass, filters, wear from normal use, use
not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product
resulting from accident, alteration, abuse, or misuse. This warranty
extends only to the original consumer purchaser or gift recipient. Keep
the original sales receipt, as proof of purchase is required to make a
warranty claim. This warranty is void if the product is used for other

est fourni ave une fiche polarisée (une broche large) pour réduire le
risque d’électrocution. Cette fiche n’entre que dans un seul sens dans
une prise polarisee. Ne contrecarrez pas l’objectif sécuritaire de cette
fiche en la modifiant de quelque manière que ce soit ou en utiilsant
un adaptateur. Si vous ne pouvez pas insérer complètement la fiche
dans la prise, inversez la fiche. Si elle refuse toujours de s’insérez, faire
remplacer la prise par un électricien.
La longueur du cordon installé sur cet appareil a été sélectionnée
afin de réduire les risques d’enchevêtrement ou de faux pas
causés par un fil trop long. L’utilisation d’une rallonge approuvée
est permise, si le cordon est trop court. Les caractéristiques
électriques de la rallonge doivent être équivalentes ou supérieures
aux caractéristiques de l’appareil. Prendre toutes les précautions
nécessaires pour installer la rallonge de manière à ne pas faire
courir sur le comptoir ou sur une table pour éviter qu’un enfant ne
tire sur le cordon ou trébuche accidentellement.
Pour éviter la surcharge du circuit électrique, ne pas utiliser un autre
appareil à haute puissance sur le même circuit que cet appareil.
Utilisation du moulin à café
Avant la première utilisation : Nettoyer le moulin. Consulter
“Entretien et nettoyage”.
1.
Tenir l’appareil et retirer le couvercle de rangement du cordon.
Dérouler le cordon jusqu’à la longueur désirée. Fixer le cordon
dans l’encoche et refermer le couvercle de rangement.
2.
Débrancher le moulin à café; retirer le couvercle en tournant
dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il
se dégage et puis soulever de la base. Utiliser les marquages de
la tasse selon le nombre de tasses de café à moudre. Déposer
les grains dans le compartiment de broyage amovible.
REMARQUE : Le remplissage excessif peut causer la
surchauffe ou un défaut de fonctionnement de l’appareil.
3.
Aligner les flèches du couvercle avec les chiffres sur le broyeur
puis tourner le couvercle dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre
jusqu’à ce qu’il se verrouille en place. Le broyeur ne fonctionnera
pas si le couvercle n’est pas enclenché correctement. Brancher
la fiche dans la prise.
4.
Appuyer et maintenir le bouton mise en marche enfoncé. Broyer
pendant 10 à 20 secondes, selon la quantité et la mouture
désirée. Utiliser une mouture grossière pour les percolateurs et
une mouture moyenne à fine pour les cafetières goutte-à-goutte.
Une mouture plus fine rapportera un café plus fort. Pour le
broyage des épices, consulter Tableau d’épices moulu.
REMARQUE : Le moulin à café fonctionne quand le couvercle
est bien en place et quand on appuie sur le bouton de mise
en marche (I).
5. Pour enlever le couvercle, tourner dans le sens contraire
des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à ce qu’il se dégage puis
soulever de la base.
