Chefman RJ11-17-CTI Questions and Answers

#1 Does the tea infuser mount come out? Im trying to pull on it and it won't budge?
The tea infuser in my Chefman Kettle is removable.

#2 How do you shut kettle off on the digital kettle? Thought it was off twice and it starts up by itself.
Mine goes off automatically and does not start up again until I start it. You may have a faulty one.

#3 Does the stainless steel infuser have fda approval? tea drink color changes to much darker (compared between with/without stainless steel/glass ones).
Not sure. Don't have a problem with mine. Colour of tea is the same whether with the infuser or without.

#4 Can i use this with finely ground coffee?
It will do coffee. But only if you don't mind fine grounds to drink. I personally use this for boiling water as it is quick and has the temperature controls.

#5 Does the infuser screw in piece contain plastic and does this touch water?
It does not screw in. The piece at the top that sits in the kettle is plastic. The tube that the tea goes in is metal. Yes the tube touches the water.

#6 Does this work with a smart plug (like the wemo switch)?
Mine turns on with a wemo switch and boils water every morning but I must remember to flip the kettle switch to on in the evening before going to bed.

#7 It has keep warm function?
No it doesn't. It has a safety function that once the boiled water reaches the desired temperature, it automatically shuts off. Which i'm o.k. with. The tea does stay warm for a bit, but if it cools off, I just reheat in microwave.
