Troubleshooting
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
Grill won’t turn on. Is grill plugged in? ON indicator light will come on.
Make sure electrical outlet is working. Test with a lamp known to be working.
Power surge or outage. Check your electrical breaker box.
Food is undercooked. Plates are not locked in place. Check top and bottom plates and press into place.
Food not cooked long enough. When grilling meats, use a meat thermometer to measure
internal temperature. Visit www.foodsafety.gov for more information on safe internal cooking
temperatures and temperatures for doneness of specific foods.
Not set at the correct cooking temperature. Check the temperature control dial.
Cook with cover closed.
Allow grill to fully preheat.
Food is overcooked. Food cooked too long. When grilling meats, use a meat thermometer to measure internal
temperature.
Grease is not draining. Kickstand is not in place.
Drain hole is blocked/clogged. Cool grill completely and clean around the drain hole.
