Before operating the unit, please read this manual
thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
WARNING

device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this
device must accept any interference received, including

Precautions
On safety
Unplug the unit from the cigarette lighter socket if it is
not to be used. To disconnect the unit, grasp the unit and
pull it. Never pull the cord connected to the unit.
Should any liquid or solid object fall into the unit,
disconnect the unit from the cigarette lighter socket and
the equipment and have the unit checked by qualified
personnel before operating it any further.
Installation
Do not place the USB charging car battery adaptor in a
location where it is:
Subject to extreme high temperature.
(E.g., in a car with its windows closed)
Subject to direct sunlight or near a heat source.
Subject to mechanical vibration or shock.
Subject to excessive dust.
Operation
Make sure the current and voltage of the USB
rechargeable device match the outlet.
For safety, if the input current is too high, the unit will
automatically shut down.
To prevent damage, be careful not to drop or otherwise
cause a mechanical shock to the unit.
After using, disconnect the unit from the cigarette lighter
socket and the equipment.
Disconnect the unit from the cigarette lighter socket by
grasping the unit itself. Do not pull on the cord
connected to the unit.
To avoid short-circuiting, do not allow the terminals of
the unit or connector to touch any metal object.
Note that data stored in the portable AV (Audio/Video)
device connected to this unit may be lost or damaged if
the engine is started or stopped with this unit inserted
into the cigarette lighter socket.
Cleaning
Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. If the unit is very
dirty, wipe it off with a soft cloth lightly moistened with a
mild detergent solution, and then wipe with a soft dry
cloth.
Do not use any type of solvent such as alcohol, thinner, or
benzine as it may damage the finish of the cabinet.
If you use any chemical cleaner, observe the instructions
provided with the product.
If the cabinet of the unit is splashed with any type of
solvent such as insecticide, or remains in contact for a
long time with rubber or vinyl, the finish of the cabinet
may be damaged.
Fuse replacement
If this unit does not work correctly, check the fuse in the
cigarette lighter plug.
If the fuse is blown, replace it.

1 Pull this unit out of the cigarette lighter socket.
2 Detach the end of the plug by turning it
counter-clockwise.
3 Take out the fuse.
4 Check the fuse.
If the fuse is blown, go to Step 5.
If no fuse is blown, go to Step 6.
5 Install a new fuse.
Use a fuse of the correct amperage, as stated on the fuse
compartment of this unit (1 A, 125 V, 20 mm).
6 Insert the fuse.
7 Reattach the end of the plug by turning it
clockwise firmly.
Notes
Use of a higher amperage fuse may cause serious damage or
fire.
Do not use a piece of wire instead of a fuse.
If the replaced fuse blows again, consult your dealer.

exposé à des vibrations ou à des chocs mécaniques.
exposé à une poussière excessive.
Fonctionnement
Assurez-vous que le courant et la tension de l’équipement
USB rechargeable correspondent bien à ceux de la prise.
Par mesure de sécurité, si le courant d’entrée n’est pas
correct, l’appareil sera automatiquement mis hors tension.
Afin d’éviter d’endommager l’appareil, assurez-vous de ne
pas échapper ou cogner l’appareil.
Après utilisation, débranchez l’appareil de l’allume-cigare.
Débranchez l’appareil de l’allume-cigare en le tirant par la
fiche. Ne tirez pas le câble raccordé à l’appareil.
Pour éviter tout risque de court-circuit, ne laissez pas les
broches de l’appareil ou du connecteur entrer en contact
avec un objet métallique.
Notez que les données enregistrées dans l’équipement
audio vidéo portatif raccordé à cet appareil risquent d’être
perdues ou endommagées si le moteur du véhicule est
démarré ou arrêté alors que cet appareil est connecté à
l’allume-cigare.
Nettoyage
Nettoyez l’appareil en utilisant un chiffon doux et sec. Si
l’appareil est très sale, nettoyez-le avec un chiffon doux
légèrement imbibé d’une solution détergente douce, puis
essuyez-le avec un chiffon doux et sec.
N’utilisez aucun solvant tel que de l’alcool, du diluant ou
de l’essence, car vous pourriez endommager le fini de
l’appareil.
Si vous utilisez un nettoyant chimique, respectez les
instructions d’utilisation fournies avec le produit.
Évitez d’exposer l’appareil aux éclaboussures de solvants

How to Use
Be sure to charge the device with the engine of the car
running. If the unit is left plugged into the cigarette lighter
socket when the engine is not running, power may be
consumed from the car battery.
Notes
Ensure that the USB charging car battery adaptor is safely
installed so as not to interfere with the operation of the
accelerator or gears.
Never perform connection and charging while your car is
in motion.
1 Insert the USB charging car battery adaptor
into the cigarette lighter socket.
The POWER indicator lights up in green.
2 Connect the USB charging car battery adaptor
to a portable USB rechargeable AV (Audio/
Video) device (“WALKMAN”*, etc.) using the
USB cable supplied with the device.
Install the device in a safe place.
* “WALKMAN” and “WALKMAN” logo are registered
trademarks of Sony Corporation.

3 Set the device to recharge.
It may not be necessary to set the device to recharge. (See
device’s instruction manual.)
While not using the USB charging car battery
adaptor
To avoid unnecessary car battery consumption, unplug this
unit from the cigarette lighter socket when not in use.
When you turn the car engine off
Unplug this unit from the cigarette lighter socket whenever
the engine of the car is not running. Depending on the car
type, even if the engine is off, the power supply may not turn
off automatically. In this case, this may cause unnecessary
car battery consumption.
Notes
Plug securely into the cigarette lighter socket.
This unit may not fit, depending on the location or shape
of the cigarette lighter socket.
Secure the connected device so that it will not move in
the event of sudden braking.
Be careful to route the USB cable so that it will not
interfere with driving, become entangled with passenger
movements, or be damaged by seat adjustments, etc.
Never yank or pull the USB cable connected to the unit.
This may cause malfunctions or wire breaks.
Do not use the device in a place subject to liquid or
moisture to avoid fire or electric shock.
Performance is not guaranteed in case of using an USB
hub or USB extension cable. Follow the connection
method designated by the portable AV (Audio/Video)
device (“WALKMAN”, etc.).
This unit may become warm while using. This is not a
malfunction.
